Parker & Stone Put A Halt To GIANT MONSTERS ATTACK JAPAN!

Sources: Avery Guerra / Fangoria

It would seem that an extreme dislike for the movie making process has given South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone enough cause to squash two proposed movie projects. The first being the Japanese monster homage, "GIANT MONSTERS ATTACK JAPAN!", and the second being "My All-American."

Ever since the plans for GIANT MONSTERS ATTACK JAPAN! were announced this past January, giant monster fans around the world have been lighting up message boards with anticipation. Now it looks like they will be left with disappointment.

Parker was quoted in a article on Fangoria.com saying, “They were scripts that we liked, and we basically acquired them through Paramount, and they’re two things that we’re working on to figure out which one we really want to do.”

“We’re not really doing much with movies right now,” Stone told an interviewer at the website. “We’re kind of just concentrating on the TV show. Movies are hard…and I don’t want to do ’em any more. If you’re gonna do a movie, you’d better be damn sure you want to do that movie, because it’s gonna suck to make.”

From those quotes it may be a very long time before GIANT MONSTERS ATTACK JAPAN! ever sees the light of day, if ever!
