William Shatner Set For Cameo In Star Trek 2

Boy, they are really cooking along on the sequel to J.J. Abrams new "Star Trek" movie. It was just announced yesterday that Paramount was so certain that the film was going to be a big hit, that they had already started plans for the next movie. Here we are 24 hours later and we have our first casting rumor.

It should come to no surprise to anyone that follows all things "Trek" that William Shatner was a bit "bent out of shape" that he wasn't cast in Abrams reboot. Shatner certainly didn't mind jawing about it, anytime he was asked about the film. Well, it looks like the the folks over at Paramount, got the message, and are now eager to get the actor into the next movie.

A (un-named) source told Britain's Daily Express newspaper, "It's well known Bill was disappointed not to get a cameo (in the 2009 film). But now Paramount Pictures has been given the go-ahead for a sequel and there are hopes he'll make a brief appearance."

Okay, now that it looks like Shatner is going to get his wish to be in another "Star Trek" movie, what kind of part is he going to play? There is, of course, a new actor playing the part of James T Kirk, so where would he fit in? Would he play the new Kirk's father? A Starfleet commander? A villain perhaps? Maybe a Gorn?

We all can understand that it must be hard for Bill to see someone else playing the role he made famous.

I just hope they don't just prop him up in a corner of some scene as an extra or something.

Bigfoot Discovered In Windows 7 Wallpaper?

One has to know that when they are searching the news on April 1st that they are likely to discover about a zillion joke articles. The writers of these articles aren't trying to hurt anyone, they are just having good clean fun. Who can blame them. Today is a day for foolery and mayhem, so let truth and honesty be damned......at least for the day.

Well, as normal, I was doing my usual hunting for the strange and unusual, when I came across this little tidbit on the PC Plus website.

It appears that a photographer, accidentally, caught the image of a Sasquatch (Bigfoot) next to a lake. The photo in question, just happens to be the same image that serves as the background wallpaper for Windows 7 Beta.

According to the article I read, several 'eagle-eyed' computer geeks spotted the elusive monster in the image. Of course, you really have to zoom in close to get a good look at Bigfoot, but allegedly it is there.

Now, do I think that this is a April Fools day prank? Yes, most definitely. Do I think that there is a chance in Hell, that someone may have accidentally photographed the monster without knowing it?........mmmmmm, well I suppose. Is it possible that someone at Microsoft added the creature to the image? That could be the case.

This is all I can say about this Bigfoot sighting, the image is small, blurry, and looks a heck of a lot like the object in the famed "Paterson" film.

My take on this is that it is a great April Fools Day prank.
