A New Poster And Image From The Bugs On The Loose Film "It Came from the Desert"

It would be easy to assume that Roger! Pictures upcoming film "It Came From The Desert" is nothing more than a modern remake of the 1954 horror/sci fi classic "Them!" which starred James Arness, James Whitmore, Edmund Gwenn and Joan Weldon. After all it's a movie about a bunch of giant ants running amok in the desert of the American southwest gobbling up sugar and causing general mayhem right? Well ... yes and no.
Let me explain, "It Came From The Desert" is actually based on a late 80s video game of the same name where a meteor crashing to Earth spawns a herd of giant ants that menace the rural town of Lizard Breath. The game player assumes the role of Greg Bradley, a local scientist, who takes it upon himself to rid the world of the insect terrors.
As one would expect, the game itself is an homage to late-50s-early-60s drive-in sci fi .... like "Them!"
Okay, to recap, it's a modern film based on a video game that was inspired by "Them!" ... not an actual remake of said film.

The film is set to begin production later this year for a 2016 release.
The production team has promised a teaser trailer within the next couple of weeks so stay tuned.
