It's Godzilla vs. Minions In A New Toho Promo Video

Image
Written By: Ken Hulsey From Youtube It's thirty seconds long, cute, and very $#&*@#! cool! Just in case you haven't seen this yet, the latest promo video for Toho Cinemas in Japan features the Minions from Despicable Me and everyone's favorite monster Godzilla. The clip is just too darn cute, and although it's in Japanese, I think everyone will get the gist. My wife was quick to point out that the last Minion who follows Godzilla was actually me, and I agree. If I got that close to Godzilla, I would be more starstruck than if I had lunch with Harrison Ford (wouldn't that be cool!). Actually, come to think of it, Godzilla walked down the red carpet right behind me at the premiere of "Godzilla: Final Wars", so I kinda already had a moment like that. ... and YES that was friggin awesome! The Minions will soon star in their own theatrical film, entitled Minions, to be released in the United States on July 10, 2015. Toho Studios plans to

Sam Jones Says New Flash Gordon Is A Sequel

Image
From Empire Online It's almost exactly a year since we last heard anything about the new Flash Gordon currently developing at Fox. Speaking to 1980's Flash and recent Ted star Sam Jones, however, Den Of Geek have quietly picked up a possible scoop. They've chosen not to trumpet it, probably because it sounds, if not ridiculous, then hugely unlikely. But according to Jones himself, the Fox Flash Gordon is not a reboot or a remake, but a possible sequel. "Matthew Reilly [VP of production at Fox Studios] acquired the screenplay rights to Flash Gordon last year," says Jones, "and he hired [producer] John Davis and his staff to write the script. They’re looking to bring out a sequel actually. I met with Matt, we’re in talks about that. A lot of people over the years, including Stephen Sommers and Neil H. Moritz, have acquired the screenplay rights, but for whatever reason they did not do a follow up on the option. So I’m very excited about it." We

'Rogue One' explained: A brief history of Rogue Squadron

Image
The first 'Star Wars' spinoff will give beloved B-listers the center stage From Entertainment Weekly Rogue One will not be the first Star Wars spinoff movie released in theaters. That honor sort of belongs to The Clone Wars, a cheapo 3D-animated horror released to general disregard in 2008. I say “sort of” because Caravan of Courage was also released theatrically in some countries. Caravan of Courage is basically Quest for Fire with Ewoks; it’s unwatchable unless you’re four years old and it’s the middle-late ’80s and your VHS still has the commercials from when your parents taped it before you were born. What I’m saying is that Rogue One is probably already the best Star Wars spinoff movie ever made. Disney didn’t reveal anything about the movie’s plot today, but the name speaks volumes. “Rogue One” is the callsign of the leader of Rogue Squadron. If you’re someone who’s only experienced Star Wars via the movies, you may only vaguely know what Rogue Squadron is. If

Two Rare Photos Of Leonard Nimoy

Image
Written By: Ken Hulsey While still trying to process the loss of the iconic television and movie actor Leonard Nimoy , I searched through my extensive collection of photographs and pulled out these two rare shots. To my knowledge neither of them have ever been published. The two photographs came from a set of images that I acquired from a company that worked on the original production of Star Trek . The first photo is one of my favorites, it shows Nimoy in his role as the alternate universe Spock from the iconic episode "Mirror, Mirror".
