Todd Gurley Believes Rams Offense Will Have Enough Snaps For Odell Beckham Jr

Image
An offense with Goff, Woods, Kupp, Gurely and Beckham would be insane! No defense ever conceived could cover all those weapons. From NBC Sports Rams running back Todd Gurley would be happy to give up a few touches, if it meant adding a player the caliber of Odell Beckham Jr. Gurley was fired up about the rumored and at-this-point hypothetical possibility of the Rams trading for the Giants star, though he made it clear he thought he and coach Sean McVay and quarterback Jared Goff could make it work within the framework of an already good offense. “Oh yeah, that’s my guy,” Gurley said of Beckham, via Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. “There’s always enough snaps. There’s always enough snaps. “If we had him, man, it would be awesome. I’d be happy, Goff will be happy, coach McVay will be happy, [owner Stan] Kroenke, the whole team would be.” Gurley was less forthcoming with confirmation that he had talked to Beckham about the possibility. There was a report that Beckham h

Roseanne: A Honest Look At The American Family ... For A Change

Image
I haven't laughed that hard in years! The show is brilliant! Bravo! Here's a great review of the show from Yahoo! of all places: Roseanne returned to primetime after a 21-year hiatus and immediately tackled the topic of political divisiveness — something many American families can relate to. It’s pretty clear that Roseanne and Dan are proud Donald Trump supporters, while Roseanne’s sister, Jackie, is anti-Trump. The episode centers on Roseanne and Jackie being at odds over this. In fact, they’ve barely spoken since the 2016 election. But since they’re family, they’re making an attempt to be civil to each other. The two sisters throw barbs at each other. Jackie brings Russian dressing to a family dinner. Roseanne responds by asking Jackie if she’d like to take a knee during grace. It comes to a head with Jackie asking Roseanne how she could have voted for Trump. Roseanne said, “He talked about jobs, Jackie! He said he’d shake things up! I mean, this might come as a

How can you have any Venom if you don t have your Spider-Man?

Image
From The Playlist Ever since Sony announced plans to produce a film based on the Marvel villain, Venom, fans were confused. The main source of confusion stems from the fact that, as part of the Marvel Studios/Sony deal, Spider-Man is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while the “Venom” film is clearly not. So, how can you make a film based on a Spider-Man villain, without Spider-Man? Especially considering the origin of Venom is so closely tied to Spider-Man, himself. The truth is, we still don’t know. One of the other questions surrounding the film is what exactly Venom will look like, keeping in mind Spider-Man’s absence. You see, Venom is modeled after Spider-Man, who briefly wore the famous “black suit” symbiote, down to the spider symbol on his chest. This has led some to speculate that Venom might not actually “suit up” in the film, and Tom Hardy, who plays Eddie Brock, aka Venom, will hardly resemble the Marvel character. This is after a reddit rumor went around that

Rams Add Ndamukong Suh To Monster Defense

Image
Ndamukong Suh and Aaron Donald are about to destroy the NFL as we know it! From NFL.com The best remaining player in free agency has made a decision on where he'll be playing for at least the next year. Ndamukong Suh is signing with the Los Angeles Rams on a one-year, $14 million deal, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday. Suh made his decision after visiting with the Saints and Titans last week before visiting L.A. on Tuesday. He initially planned to visit the Raiders on Wednesday before deciding to skip the scheduled meetup. Despite not hosting Suh on a visit, the Jets emerged as a serious contender for his services late in the week, but rescinded their offer on Sunday. The former Miami Dolphins defensive tackle, who was released by the team at the start of free agency last week, tallied 15.5 sacks and 181 combined tackles in his time in Miami, despite eating up double teams constantly. Since 2010, he ranks second among NFL DTs in sacks (51.5), first in Q

I'm Luke Starkiller. I'm here to rescue you

Image
"A death-white wasteland stretches from horizon to horizon. The tremendous heat of two huge twin suns settles on a lone figure, LUKE STARKILLER, a farm boy with heroic aspirations who looks much younger than his twenty-two years. His curly hair and baggy tunic give him the air of a simple, but lovable lad with a prize-winning smile." From IOL Most fans of the popular sci-fi franchise will know that Hamill's Jedi Master character Luke Skywalker was originally supposed to have the surname Starkiller. And Hamill has revealed in the first original movie 'A New Hope' the scene where Luke and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) rescue Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) had to be shot again. The 66-year-old actor wrote on Twitter: "FUN FACT - the name change to Skywalker came late enough in production that we had to re-shoot the scene where I liberated the Princess from her cell. "We had already shot it using the original line: 'I'm Luke Starkiller. I

Star Trek: The Next Generation: Through The Mirror

Image
From IDW After the stellar success of Star Trek: The Next Generation: Mirror Broken, which introduced the alternate “Mirror” villainous version of the U.S.S. Enterprise crew to comics, and the excitement around the upcoming five-week mega-event Star Trek: The Next Generation: Through The Mirror, IDW now returns to the original, or “prime,” universe this August in Star Trek: The Next Generation: Terra Incognita, beginning a brand-new wave of episodic miniseries! This six-issue miniseries reveals unique, focused stories where beloved characters find themselves in new, unfamiliar situations, in a format echoing the “done-in-one” nature of the television series. However, each issue also features a subtle throughline of an evil Mirror Universe crewmember established in the Mirror Broken and Through the Mirror series remaining on the ship, wreaking havoc while posing as his prime universe counterpart. Featuring the best of both the Mirror and original universes, Terra Incognita is a u

Everybody in California isn't in favor of providing sanctuary to Illegal Aliens

Image
Despite what the loonies in Sacramento think, everybody in California isn't in favor of providing sanctuary to Illegal Aliens. Form the OC Register The anti-sanctuary movement is gaining momentum. On Thursday, three days after Los Alamitos made national news by launching a city ordinance to defy California’s so-called sanctuary law, two Orange County supervisors plan to introduce measures that range from a county resolution similar in spirit to the ordinance passed in Los Alamitos, to filing a lawsuit against the state. Meanwhile, Los Alamitos Mayor Troy Edgar has created a GoFundMe page to help his city pay legal expenses that figure to come when the city is sued by pro-immigrant and civil-rights groups. Edgar hopes his page, called “Mayor Edgar’s — Stop Sanctuary Law,” will raise $100,000. “We’re getting an outpouring of support from across the country and the nation. People are offering to help with legal costs for little Los Alamitos,” said Edgar, who said he has r

New Poll Proves That Americans See The Democratic Party As A Party With No Message

Image
From The Daily Caller Remember when the Democratic Party actually used to stand for something? According to a new poll by The Washington Post and ABC, over half of Americans believe the current Democratic Party doesn’t stand for anything besides resisting President Trump. The poll asked 1,001 Americans, “Do you think the Democratic Party currently stands for something, or just stands against Trump?” Only 37 percent of respondents believed that the Democratic Party “stands for something,” while 52 percent of respondents said the party “just stands against Trump.” The apparent messaging problem was even starker among registered voters, of which only 35 percent felt the Democrats stand for something while 54 percent felt they only stand against Trump. The poll was taken between July 10-13 and surveyed more Democrats than Republicans. 35 percent of respondents identified themselves as Democrats, 23 percent as Republicans, and 35 percent as Independent. The comic series from writer Jeff Parker (BATMAN ’66) will follow Amanda Waller as she looks for an escape—from death. The first chapter is available now. “Our story picks up immediately after the Hell to Pay animated film, and Waller is still on a personal mission to save her soul—and she’s willing to put the Suicide Squad through hell to do it,” says Parker. “This time, the Squad goes way out of their element and around the world to face supernatural and ancient forces—and yes, Harley is in there too!” Amanda Waller’s Task Force X has completed another mission—and in her opinion, the prize was worth the price they paid. A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for a spin-off movie

Image
From Dork Side Of The Foce Star Wars: Frank Oz discusses possibility of a Yoda live-action film ...Oz pleads ignorance on Lucasfilm’s plans but discusses his thoughts on the possible movie. It won’t be a puppet. Believe me. That’s way too difficult for me. I rehearse a long time just to do one line of dialogue as a puppeteer. It would have to be CGI. Even though the puppet variation is vintage Yoda and my favorite, I’m down for the return of the CGI version. In fact, the prequel Yoda was done flawlessly and seeing a younger version of the Jedi Master would be loads of fun. For years, even the homeworld of Yoda’s been kept under wraps, but I’m okay letting the secret out of the bag. More Star Wars and more Yoda is a positive thing. Plus, it may be a fun way to introduce other storylines from a galaxy far, far away; a period currently untapped within the Star Wars canon. When Yoda is teaching Luke in The Last Jedi on failure, he’s no doubt talking from personal experience.

RoboCop: Citizens Arrest (You Can’t Crowdsource Justice)

Image
From BOOM! Studios It’s been decades since the RoboCop program first began. Corporations have taken over the schools and the government—and law enforcement is the biggest private contract of all. Traditional police forces no longer exist as all citizens are encouraged—and rewarded—to spy on their neighbors. There is only one authority on the streets: RoboCop. Writer Brian Wood and artist Jorge Coelho talk about what influenced their take on RoboCop. How has RoboCop influenced you? Brian Wood: There was a lot of build-up and anticipation for me with the original film, because I had a very strict mother who wouldn’t let me see it, but all my friends at school would talk about it. When I was finally able to sneak away to watch it, it really lived up to the anticipation! It was violent and funny and awesome, and as I got older I was able to understand the social commentary and appreciate how rich and clever it was. Jorge Coelho: The original RoboCop was maybe the first film t

New Music Monday: Starcrossed Losers

The Regrettes are an American punk rock band from Los Angeles. The band is led by frontwoman Lydia Night. They released their debut studio album, Feel Your Feelings Fool! on Warner Bros. Records in January 2017. Prior to the formation of the band, lead vocalist Lydia Night met guitarist, Genessa Gariano, and bassist, Sage Chavis, and drummer Maxx Morando in music school. At the time, Night was in the two-piece band Pretty Little Demons (who changed their name to The Regrettes in the last few months of life) with drummer Marlhy Murphy. In 2015, Murphy departed from the band after the band released their EP "Hey!" on 16 October 2015, leading to Night asking Gariano, Chavis, and Morando to join. In 2016, the band toured with both Tacocat and Sleigh Bells, opened for Kate Nash, and performed at South by Southwest. In 2015, the band's independent release led to a record deal with Warner Bros. Records. Their first album was produced by Mike Elizondo and their first singl
