Jurassic City ... More Babes And Dinosaurs For Ya!
Just when you thought you may be safe from low-budget clones of mega-budget blockbusters out of the celluloid quagmire comes "Jurassic City", a film filled with more bikini girls and hungry prehistoric critters than you can shake a stick at. The idea for this one, of course, is not original (see Godzilla, Jurassic Park and Bikini Girls vs Dinosaurs) and in fact the timing of it's release by Vertical Entertainment was obviously planned to capitalize on the success of movies like "Jurassic World".
It would be hard to fault Velvet Hammer Films for producing such a film when other low-budget fair like, "Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus" and "Sharknado" have been very successful money makers for rival production company, The Asylum, who started off making such low-budget homages as "Transmorphers" and "The Terminators". Yes there is indeed a market for films in this genre, and one just has to turn on the SyFy Channel on any given night to see how many of these kind of films there really are out there.
Here is you synopsis for "Jurassic City":
When a top-secret laboratory is unexpectedly breached, thousands of rampaging raptors are unleashed on Los Angeles! A black-ops unit is mobilized to contain the creatures before they cause city-wide chaos. Simultaneously, a truckload of raptors is rerouted to a nearby prison. Upon their escape, these ferocious flesh-eaters are beyond containment. This is Jurassic judgment night for smoking hot sorority girls, sinister scientists, muscle-bound military and doomed death-row inmates! It's about to get bloody in Jurassic City!
Hence why this one was first entitled "Jurassic Block"!
This one stars Ray Wise, Kevin Gage, Vernon Wells, Robert LaSardo, Dana Melanie, Kayla Carlyle, Jack Forcinito, Sophia Mattsson, Monique Parent, Tim Muskatell, and Vanessa Johnston.
