I know what you are thinking, "'Transmorphers'? Isn't that just some cheap rip-off of 'Transformers' or something?" Well if you were thinking that, and you would be justified to do so, you would be wrong...well sorta. Indeed The Asylum's latest sci fi film does have a very familiar sounding name, but the film itself has a plot that is very different from "Transformers."
In fact the plot for "Transmorphers: Fall of Man" sounds a little like "Terminator".....and....um...."Transformers."
Okay, ya got me.
The film follows the story of a group of freedom fighters who try to stop the invasion of Earth by a bunch of alien robots.
In fact "Fall of Man" is a prequel to 2007s "Transmorphers", which picks up the story some 300 years in the future, where the robots have enslaved mankind.
Now that you mention it, that film sounds a lot like the Japanese sci fi film "Returner", which kinda ripped-off "Terminator", and that film had a giant transforming alien robot at the end that was disguised as a passenger jet.....like "Transformers."
Gosh, this all getting messy. It's starting to become hard to keep all these movies straight.
Okay, just go home this weekend and watch "Terminator", "Transformers", "Returner"....um...."The Matrix".....and "Transmorphers" and see if your head explodes?
