Though the Mouse Factory (Disney) has yet to confirm it, several entertainment news outlets are reporting that Harrison Ford has signed on to reprise his role as Han Solo in 'Star Wars: Episode VII'. This news has come as a surprise to me due to Ford's age and also due to the fact that the actor has spoken out on numerous occasions on just how much he really didn't like the galactic smuggler character who helped turn the once struggling actor into a house-hold name. Indeed the actor who is considered one of the best of his generation was working as a carpenter when Lucas called him in for a screen test.
But I digress, here is the blurb:
Time to dig out that Star Wars Rumour Alert siren we stole from a Star Destroyer (at the cost of many Bothans’ lives, but we figure they’re used to it by now): the mighty scoop hounds over at Latino Review are reporting that Harrison Ford has made a deal to return for Star Wars VII.This has yet to be confirmed by Disney itself, though the Review crew have been enjoying a successful run of leak reporting and Ford has previously said he's open to the idea, so chances are it could well turn out to be true.No details have emerged about what it might entail should it emerge blinking into reality, but you’d got to figure it’s so that Han and likely Luke and Leia can show up as their older selves in Episode VII, which Jj Abrams is directing from Michael Arndt’s script. - Read More
