During a trip back to California, Terri and I had the pleasure of dining at the oldest remaining Bob's Big Boy in Burbank. This restaurant is a perfectly preserved example of what the dining experience was like in the decades following World War II. Wrapped in neon lights, the Bob's in Burbank serves as both a restaurant and a museum.
My wife loves to reminisce about the restaurants we used to visit when we lived in California. Tonight, she mentioned In-N-Out, and immediately, I thought of a Double-Double and Animal Style Fries. As soon as those thoughts crossed my mind, my taste buds started craving it. The dilemma is that we are in Alexandria, Louisiana, and the nearest In-N-Out is a four-hour drive away in Dallas.
