On the evening of December 2nd, a young woman experienced a breathtaking spectacle in the skies above Deridder, Louisiana, an event that would leave many questioning the ordinary. While maneuvering into her driveway, she glanced westward and was captivated by a brilliant white object that seemed to burst forth from what appeared to be a circular anomaly in the sky—a phenomenon reminiscent of a sonic boom.
Initially, this luminous object moved westerly before making a sudden and dramatic shift southward. Intrigued and perhaps a little alarmed, she reached for her phone and began to record. Staying in her vehicle at first, she then stepped outside for a clearer view, capturing the unfolding mystery. For approximately two and a half minutes, the object glided through the southern sky before vanishing from her sight.
The resulting video offers a fascinating glimpse into the unknown. Though it wasn't immediately apparent to the witness, careful observation reveals not one, but two distinct objects moving together through the night. The primary entity takes on a cigar shape, emanating an ethereal white glow surrounded by an aura that the witness likened to a sort of ‘force field.’ The second, smaller circular orb trails just in front of its companion, initially appearing faint but growing increasingly vibrant. As the footage progresses, this orb shines with an intensity that surpasses the larger object just moments before both disappear from view.

Throughout her account, it is evident that the experience profoundly unsettled the witness. Her reactions and commentary within the video reflect a mixture of awe and trepidation, culminating in a sense of bewilderment over the enigmatic sight. Later, in her report of the incident, she conjectured that she might have witnessed a military or rocket test. It’s easy to see why she might think so; the sight bears some resemblance to objects I have observed in the Southern California skies, particularly those launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base, situated a few hundred miles north of my own residence.
However, a delve into online resources and records unveiled a rather different story. There are no known military or NASA testing facilities in Eastern Texas that could account for the observed phenomena. Surprisingly, there was no record of any flight tests on that date, save for a SpaceX launch of a Starlink mission via Falcon 9, which took place far away in Florida, not Texas.
Considering this information, it becomes clear that whatever this witness encountered that night transcended any scheduled aerospace activity, remaining a compelling anomaly that invites further inquiry and speculation. The implications of such a sighting remind us of the vast mysteries that our skies still hold, urging us to keep our eyes open for the inexplicable wonders of the universe.
