This years "Japanese Movie Festival" in Kuala Lumpur will feature a total of ten films from different genres ranging from anime, kaiju, and drama. Included with this festival will be a special "Ichikawa Kon Retrospective” featuring three of the famed director's films. This special event was put together to pay tribute to the memory of Ichikawa, who passed away on February 13th of this year.
Now movie festivals and tributes to world famous movie directors are fine and all, but we know everyone will really be showing up to meet Ultraman!
Yes kiddies, Ultraman Mebius will be on hand Saturday, July 19th for a special screening of "Ultraman Mebius & Ultraman Brothers". I do want to point out a couple of facts to all you Japanese monster fans in Kuala Lumpur. Something that every suite actor will tell you over and over again, is that those costumes are very hot and smelly, so don't crowd Ultraman. If you want to give him a present, try Gatorade or some plain old ordinary water. In the hot summer sun, good old Ultraman may not last too long if he becomes dehydrated.
