Vampirella Archives Paperbacks Bring Fabulous Fifth Volume!

 From Dynamite Entertainment

Dynamite Entertainment is excited to announce an essential new release for fans of one of its most beloved and historic characters. The new paperback edition of **Vampirella Archives Volume 5** (Buy Now $15.99 @ Amazon.com) will hit store shelves this April, continuing the affordable reprints of the **Daughter of Drakulon’s** original run of adventures, along with a variety of anthology tales.

This impressive fifth volume includes issues #29-35 of the **Vampirella** magazine, originally published by Warren Publishing between 1973 and 1974.

With four volumes already available, fans can choose to explore the eras that interest them most, purchase the volumes in any order due to their anthology format, or aim for the complete collection with a new entry scheduled for release every two months. The fourth volume preceding this one featured the pivotal origin retelling from the 1972 annual, a crucial Vampi story, along with contributions from Bronze Age legends such as Steve Englehart, Doug Moench, Steve Skeates, and notable artists like Jose Gonzalez and Esteban Maroto.

Several highlights await readers in this fifth volume! Notably, every included issue features a **Vampirella** story, comprising a significant portion of the total page count. A new storyline by Flaxman Loew begins here, covering issues #28-36, 38-42, and 51. He is accompanied by the definitive **Vampirella** artist of the era, Jose Gonzalez, except for the final story, which is illustrated by Jose Ortiz.

One of the key issues in this collection is **Vampirella #30**, which marks the first appearance of Pantha, the feline frenemy of the Daughter of Drakulon, created by Steve Skeates and Rafael Auraleon. Pantha stars in four stories within this volume, with additional solo stories appearing in issues #42, 44, 90, 93-99, 101-104, 106, and 108, as well as several iconic crossovers with Vampirella and other features of the magazine. Although less prominent historically, the character Fleur, created by Ramon Torrents, also makes her debut here in two stories, with later appearances in #68 and alongside Pantha and Vampi in the crossover issue #50.

Another major attraction of this volume is the significant contribution from Jeffrey Catherine Jones, with issues #32-34 featuring her artwork. One of these issues showcases a collaboration with Bernie Wrightson, a fellow member of the legendary **The Studio** collective, which also included Barry Windsor-Smith and Michael Wm. Kaluta. Additional contributions from Jones can be found in issues #4, 5, 9, 12, and 50.

In addition to these exciting highlights, fans can also enjoy the writing and artwork from creators such as Doug Moench, Richard Corben, Steve Skeates, Esteban Maroto, Fernando Fernandez, and others.

As a sneak peek of the next volume, readers can anticipate three **Vampirella** stories illustrated by Leopold Sanchez, Esteban Maroto's interpretations of Dracula, and an unexpected return for Archie Goodwin.
