Director Alex Monty Canawati seems to have been able to get the dead to star in his latest film "Return to Babylon."
During location shoots on his black-and-white silent film biopic about the sex and drug scandals that rocked Hollywood back in the silent movie era, Canawati and his cast began to feel that they were not alone.
Canawati explains, "Jennifer Tilly was the first to sense these apparitions. Actual shooting took place in the estates where many of these silents stars lived. It was spooky."

It wasn't until the film went into post-production that Canawati discovered that his film was indeed haunted. Upon viewing "Babylon" it was revealed that several of the stars were "replaced" by images of haunting ghostly apparitions.
It seems that many deceased silent movie stars jumped at the chance to once again grace the silver screen!
Canawati has chosen a very appropriate date and venue to premiere his haunted film, Halloween night at the Salem Cinema in Salem, Massachusetts.
"Return to Babylon" stars Tippi Hedren, Debbi Mazar, Ione Skye and Jennifer Tilly.
I've seen Return To Babylon. It's a fascinating film. This movie has captured the spirits of the silent film stars it depicts in more ways than one. It's simply erie the way the ghostly images manifest themselves.
ReplyDeleteReturn To Babylon is sure to become a cult classic film for both silent movie buffs and paranormal enthusiast.
