During the months of July and August the number of Bigfoot sightings in British Columbia rose dramatically. At about the same time reports of bear sightings also increased. Are the two increases in sightings related? Local experts believe so.
Brian Vike, the director of "Houston British Columbia Canada (HBCC) UFO Research", notes that as Summer begins to turn into Fall large animals begin to migrate down from the higher elevations. “I don’t know why there is so much activity but I have a researcher friend in Saskatchewan, who thinks it may have something to do with increased bear sightings. There seems to be a lot more bear sightings nearing hibernation and as the animals move down from the mountains, maybe something else large and hairy is moving too.”
In July two credible witnesses reported seeing a large upright walking creature near Houston, BC. One of the witnesses, Delores Harrie, actually saw Bigfoot very close to the populated Morgan subdivision near the town.
In addition to the sightings near Houston, Larry Sommerfield, a self-proclaimed Sasquatch hunter from Terrace, claims to have made a plaster cast from a set of 16 inch, four toed, tracks that he discovered in the northern part of British Columbia at around the same time.
