Well, now that small independent productions are all the rage now, I figured that I would continue to ride the wave....for as long it lasts. Today I have another little film made on a shoe-string budget. This time it isn't a film made with toy Godzilla figures or a guy in monkey suite scaring a bunch of kids. I thought that it would be nice to see something whimsical.....something light hearted and silly.

The first episode of Silent But Deadly's series, entitled "Silly But Delusional" made it's debut last night on the Numa Network. For those of you not familiar with SBD, it is an independent all-female production company founded by Rachel Grubb and Brooke Lemke. The two young actresses founded the company in hopes of providing talented woman with an opportunity to showcase their acting and movie making skills.

"Silly But Delusional" stars both Rachel and Brooke as two roommates who's newspaper is continually being stolen. As result, Rachel's character, Gina, begins to go a little bonkers, believing that the theft is some sort of a personal violation. On the other hand, Brooke's character, Jill, tries to deal with her roommates transformation.

Now, I want to point something. In real life Rachel has an obsession with all things Batman related. In fact I would bet that she feels more at home dressed as either Catwoman or Harley Quinn than she does in the 'wife-beater' she wears in the episode. Let's just say that kissing a poster of The Joker may not be something Rachel hasn't done before.

It is refreshing to see her doing something else besides being run through with a machete, like "Camp Kill" or being screwed by a crazed Redneck, like "Terror Overload."

The episode may not be much, but it is low-budget, so I think that it could be considered trendy. Keep your eyes peeled for more from Silent But Deadly very soon.
