Godzilla 2: First Set Photos ... More Monsters?

Filming on the sequel to Gareth Edwards amazing re imagining of Godzilla (2014) has been taking place in Atlanta now for just over two weeks and the first on set photos have leaked out. Not much can be seen in any of the pics, all they contain are images of Warner Bros trailers and cars in all sorts of disrepair. It's the usual collateral damage stuff that exists in every single giant monster movie since 1933 when King Kong decided that he didn't like the civilized world very much and went ... well ape.

In the year 1980, a secret military organization named SHADO (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organisation) becomes operational. Its purpose is to defend the Earth from Aliens who've been coming to Earth and kidnapping humans. It is believed that these Aliens are a dying race, and are transplanting human body parts to extend their own lifespans.

SHADO's main headquarters is hidden beneath a film studio near London England. SHADO also has a base on the moon (Moonbase) and a fleet of submarines (Skydiver). Incoming UFO's are initially detected by an Earth orbiting satellite named SID (Space Intruder Detector). An initial interception attempt is made in space with three Interceptor craft launched from Moonbase. A second attempt is made in the Earth's atmosphere with a fighter plane (Sky One) launched from Skydiver. Landed UFO's are tracked down with ground Mobiles.

2016 saw the release of the no. 1 box office smash hit live action film, Shin Godzilla (directed by Hideaki Anno). This grounded portrayal captured the hearts of audiences, and has been honored with seven prizes at the 40th Japan Academy Awards, including Picture of the Year.

The next step in the Godzilla franchise will be the release this November of Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters. This landmark year in which Japan celebrates the 100th anniversary of the release of its first animated film will also finally herald the first time in history that the challenge has been undertaken to adapt Godzilla into an animated feature.

Quark is an American science fiction situation comedy starring Richard Benjamin broadcast on NBC. The pilot first aired on May 7, 1977, and the series followed as a mid-season replacement in February 1978. The series was cancelled in April 1978. Quark was created by Buck Henry, co-creator of the spy spoof Get Smart.

The show was set on a United Galaxy Sanitation Patrol Cruiser, an interstellar garbage scow operating out of United Galaxies Space Station Perma One in the year 2226. Adam Quark, the main character, works to clean up trash in space by collecting "space baggies" with his trusted and highly unusual crew.

In its short run, Quark satirized such science fiction as Star Wars, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Flash Gordon. Three of the episodes were literal satires of Star Trek episodes.

The series won one Emmy Award nomination, for costume designer Grady Hunt's work in the episode "All the Emperor's Quasi-Norms, Part 2".

'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Behind-the-Scenes Video Shows New Creatures and Old Friends

There’s still no full-length trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but fans should nevertheless be pleased with Lucasfilm‘s new offering: a behind-the-scenes video that showcases lots of new creatures, offers a good look at some new and familiar characters, and even has Admiral Akbar marking the end of the shoot by announcing, “It’s a wrap!” (Watch it above.)

The modern St. Patrick’s Day celebrations that will take place on Thursday, at least in the United States, will likely be characterized by commercial lucky charms and green beer—all of which has very little to do with the historical figure of the saint. As it turns out, it took centuries for the holiday to accrue the elements that now seem crucial to its celebrations.

The March 17 celebration started in 1631 when the Church established a Feast Day honoring St. Patrick. He had been Patron Saint of Ireland who had died around the fifth century—a whopping 12 centuries before the modern version of the holiday was first observed. But very little is known about who he actually was, according to Marion Casey, a clinical assistant professor of Irish Studies at New York University (and a regular marcher in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Manhattan).

"The Brain That Wouldn't Die" Being Remade In Oregon - First Images

The 2016 remake of the same name, The Brain That Wouldn't Die is a satirical take on the story, utilizing both the intentional and unintentional comedic elements of the original, while bolstering the characters and plot. Directed by Derek Carl and written by Hank Huffman, the team behind the short film Bad Seed (2015) and the upcoming web series Y2K 2000 (2016), the remake proudly wears its influences on its sleeve, from the colorful gore-fest Re-Animator to the exceedingly funny The Man with Two Brains.

The film will be shot in Portland, Oregon, with a local cast and crew.

Combining elements of Gothic horror, film noir and science fiction, The Brain That Wouldn't Die is a charming, if not delightfully flawed, entry from director Joseph Green and producer Rex Carlton.
