Yet for her teenage son, Tyler (Logan Huffman), the V's are his ticket to something big and hopeful, a new chance for mankind to unite in common goals. To Chad Decker (Scott Wolf), a career-hungry news anchor, his exclusive interview with Anna (Morena Baccarin), the leader of the V's, is crucial to his dominating the airwaves. Also unsure about the Visitors is Father Jack (Joel Gretsch), a priest questioning his faith in the wake of the Visitors' arrival. Seeking answers outside the church, Father Jack discovers there are other dissidents who believe the Visitors are not who they say they are, including Ryan Nichols (Morris Chestnut), who is faced with his own life-altering decision when the V's show up. Meet Actress Elizabeth Mitchell (Erica Evans)

Along with starring as Juliet on "Lost," Elizabeth Mitchell also appeared as Mrs. Claus to Tim Allen in the last two installments of "The Santa Clause" trilogy; time-traveled alongside the likes of Dennis Quaid in "Frequency"; and played the girlfriend to Angelina Jolie in her portrayal of supermodel "Gia" for the Golden Globe-winning telefilm.

Mitchell's additional credits include Neil LaBute's "Nurse Betty," opposite Renée Zellweger, a recurring role as Dr. Kim Legaspi on "ER," Wayne Kramer's "Running Scared," co-starring Paul Walker, "The Lyons Den," with Rob Lowe, and the BBC series "Man and Boy," opposite Ioan Gruffudd. Further solidifying her course on the fast-track was her role opposite Barry Pepper as Teresa Earnhardt in the ESPN original telefilm "3: The Dale Earnhardt Story."

Born in Los Angeles and raised in Dallas, Mitchell transitioned from a performing arts high school to a BFA degree in acting. She further honed her craft at the renowned Dallas Theatre Company. Her stage credits include productions of "As You Like It," "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" and "Chicago."

In the premiere episode, "Pilot," an image of Anna (Morena Baccarin), the leader of the V's, is projected worldwide as she speaks about everyone joining together and no longer being divided by country or separated by fear. She wants us all to unite, and is counting on a very important component of human nature devotion. At first considered a threat, the V's quickly become a fascination and a link to things that lay just beyond our reach. For Tyler (Logan Huffman), a teenage boy, the V's are his ticket to being a part of something big and something that offers hope. To Chad (Scott Wolf), an egotistical news anchor who wants to further his career, his exclusive interview with Anna begins his desire to dominate the airwaves. Father Jack (Joel Gretsch), a priest with questioning faith, is hesitant to believe in the Visitors' righteousness and goes outside of the church in search of the truth. There are other dissidents who believe the Visitors aren't who they say they are, including Ryan (Morris Chestnut), who is faced with a life-altering decision when the V's show up. And to FBI Counter Terrorist Agent Erica Evans (Elizabeth Mitchell), who discovers, while investigating a terrorist cell, what lurks beneath the alarmingly human exterior of the Visitors, resisting this new world has never been more important, and never has there been more at stake. MORENA BACCARIN
Anna on ABC's "V"

Brazilian born actress Morena Baccarin trained at the prestigious Juilliard School. On "V," she plays Anna, the leader of the Visitors.

Baccarin is well known for being cast by writer/director Joss Whedon in his critically acclaimed series "Firefly," as well as its big-screen adaptation, "Serenity." Other television work includes recurring roles on "The O.C.," "Kitchen Confidential," "How I Met Your Mother," "Las Vegas," and starring in the cable series "Heartland."

Past theatre credits include "Our House," directed by Michael Mayer, written by Theresa Rebeck, at Playwright's Horizons Theatre; "The Seagull" at the McCarter Theatre; and the independent features "Perfume," "Way Off Broadway" and "Roger Dodger." Next year Baccarin can be seen in the feature "Stolen," opposite Josh Lucas and John Hamm.

LAURA VANDERVOORT
Lisa on ABC's "V"

Laura Vandervoort most recently starred as the Supergirl/Kara Kent on "Smallville." As Supergirl, Clark Kent's cousin, Vandervoort got to show off both her incredible acting and martial arts skills. She can also be seen in the sequel to 2005's successful "Into the Blue," "Into the Blue 2: The Reef" in 2010, shot in Hawaii and opposite Chris Carmack and Audrina Patridge.

In 2006 Vandervoort shot her first feature film, "The Lookout," opposite Jeff Daniels, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mathew Goode and Isla Fisher. She got her big break at age 19 when she landed the lead role of Sadie Harrison on the CTV TV series "Instant Star," which ran for four seasons and was extremely popular in Canada.

Vandervoort began acting at the age of 13, she had always been an entertainer, putting on shows for family and friends. But what triggered her interest in the arts was the film "My Girl," which she received from her aunt at a very young age, and after watching it realized that acting was what was inside her.

Some of her other credits include "CSI," "The Dresden Files," "Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire," "Alley Cats Strike," "Mutant X," "Prom Queen" and "Twice in a Lifetime."

A tomboy for years, Vandervoort loves most sports, especially soccer, karate, basketball, tennis, gymnastics and baseball. Entering karate at age seven, she found herself with a second degree Black Belt at by 16. She currently divides her time between Los Angeles and her native Canada.

New Photos And Video From ABC's V Reboot

I, like most sci fi fans, gave a hesitant sigh when I learned that ABC was planning a remake of the classic 80s series "V". Could the network, run by the mouse factory, possibly make a decent,updated, series from the original source material?

Well, a bunch of new photos, and a couple of promo video clips have hit the media, and from those fans have formulated mixed reactions. If you were sceptical of the series, like me, then these new items will probably do very little to sway you. If you were excited about the project, then you probably still will be.

According to unconfirmed sources, ABC is planning on airing the new "V" series on Wednesdays at 8PM right before "Lost". It can only be assumed from this move that the network is hoping to bank on "Lost's" popularity to boost the shows ratings.

Here's the official synopsis:

Today, the world woke up to find spaceships over every major city. The Visitors claim to have come in peace, bringing gifts of medical miracles and technological breakthroughs. They promise to do no harm. They're lying. Most people believe the aliens have arrived just when we needed them most. We're eager to embrace their generous offers of help, but while tracking a terrorist cell, Homeland Security agent Erica Evans stumbles upon something far more sinister. When her partner tries to kill her, Erica discovers that the aliens have plans to infiltrate our governments and businesses, planting seeds for their plot to control mankind. Convincing anyone of the truth will be impossible because the Visitors have two powerful weapons. First, they've given the people faith with their reassuring presence and gifts. Second, they've rallied our youth. Thousands of teens, including Erica's son, have been recruited as 'Peace Ambassadors' but they're actually serving as unwitting spies. Characters For New V Series Revealed

Late last month it was revealed that indeed ABC is going forward with a family oriented remake of the 80s sc fi series "V". Well someone was kind enough to leak out some more information about the show the folks over at AICN this week. It seems this time around audiences will be treated to more human drama, than pure sci fi.

Images from the original "V" television series have permeated pop culture. Who can forget the sexy leader of the aliens, Diana, mowing down on a hamster, or the birth of a "lizard baby" to a human mother. Pretty cutting edge stuff for 80s television. Of course these days Diana would have had to have been naked, riding a motorcycle through a flaming hoop (while still eating a hamster), and the unsuspecting mother would have had to have the baby rip through her like a scene out of "Alien" to get people worked up like those scenes did.

Odds are we won't see any of that kind of specticle in this new "V" series.

Here is the storyline and character descriptions supplied to AICN:

STORY LINE: The sky is full of ships -- enormous motherships from seemingly benign, very attractive humanoid aliens who just want to trade a lot of advanced technology for a little water -- but whatever you do, don't trust them...

[ERICA EVANS] 38 years old, a single mother with one teenaged son, Erica is with the FBI's Counter-Terrorism Division, and is based in Los Angeles. Currently on the trail of a sleeper cell that has forged suspiciously accurate documents with suspiciously WASPy names, Erica finds her life interrupted when alien motherships appear over 29 major cities of the world. Assuaged when the humanoid inhabitants appears to be completely friendly, Erica shifts her focus back to her job and her troubled son and in so doing uncovers a shocking and massive conspiracy...SERIES REGULAR (1)

[FATHER JACK LOWERY] 30 years old, a Catholic priest, Father Jack is the assistant pastor at All Saints Church in Los Angeles, a parish that has seen its ranks of followers dwindle to almost nothing. On the verge of being reassigned, Father Jack sees a renaissance of faith when the Visitors arrive, as fallen-away Catholics return to church in droves, initially fearful of this brave new world. [CHAD DECKER] 28 years old, an Anderson Cooper wannabe, he's a newscaster with BBN, based in New York City. ABC Going Forward With A More Family Oriented V

The plans for a remake of the 80s sci fi series, "V", were announced last October, but is has taken ABC a few months to decide just how to put a modern spin on the show. Their answer, turn the show into a family themed drama.

Scott Peters (The 4400) will helm this updated version of the alien invasion franchise, which will revolve around a female Homeland Security officer and the issues that arise inside her family when the "Visitors" arrive with their message of peace and friendship.

Reportedly the son of the agent will be drawn into fake ploys put into place by the lizard-like aliens, which will cause conflicts with his mother.

Back in October when the news of a new "V" series first was released, the creater of the original series, Kenneth Johnson, voiced his displeasure that ABC was going forward with the project without him. According to Johnson, he had pitched the idea for a series entitled, "V: The Second Generation", to ABC and they had told him, "No Thanks."

It was a short time later that plans for this new "V" series were announced.
