Great....Here we are in the middle of a global energy crisis, and Aliens are stealing our electricity!
An estimated 14,000 people in Chorley (UK) were left without power for several minutes last week, when a pair of UFOs buzzed a nearby power station.
A local resident, John Szwarc, was driving at the time of the power outage, when he noticed two strange looking craft in the sky.
Szwarc told the Lancashire Evening Post, "There were two UFOs. The main one was a huge bright cross which shone with a brilliant silver colour, although my wife thought that it was more a gold colour. There was also a small globe or circular object close to it composed of the same uncanny brilliance. Both were static in the daylight sky and both disappeared at exactly the same moment. I am aware that electrical power cuts have been associated with UFO activity in the past."
He added: "The cross was very big and very imposing and altogether weird looking.It didn't last very long, perhaps just a few seconds before it went, but it was long enough for us to realise that what we were seeing was quite alien to the sky. It certainly wasn't space debris or anything like that."
A spokesman for United Utilities stated that the cause of the power outage was unknown, and to his knowledge there, hadn't been any reports of ET's stealing electricity, "No reports of aliens or UFO sightings have come across my desk but you can be sure we will be on the lookout in future."
This is not so far fetched as you might imagine; I have reported on alien power thefts before; the side image there that is now missing contained an amazing chart showing some 15 years of nearly one to one correspondence between frequencies of UFO sightings and brown-outs across the south-eastern US.
