I've finally found an artist who has put two of my favorite things, pin-up girls and Godzilla, in one of his creations!
Let's say that it is safe to say that I have just become a huge fan of artist Andrew Bawidamann, who has taken pin-up and sci fi art to a new level! Bawidmann's creations are very easy on the eyes, curvy women in 'classic poses' with robots, guns and even Godzilla, all beautifully illustrated in vibrant color.
Bawidmann's lovely ladies look as if they would be at home on the nose of some futuristic fighter jet or space ship.
Art of this type was all the rage in the 40s, 50s and 60s, but seemed to disappear in later decades. Bawidamann could be the very artist to bring it back!
Come on, tell the truth! All you fanboys out there have fantasized about a sexy Asian girl climbing out of Godzilla's costume........what? Okay, maybe that was just me.
