I know that I spent all of last week catching everybody up on all the new Bigfoot horror movies out there, so, should it come to any ones surprise, that I'm starting off this week talking about, yet, another one.

No, really, another Bigfoot movie.

This time however, I'm kinda bummed out a little bit because this one got by me somehow. This one has already been filmed and is now for sale on DVD via

I shouldn't feel too bad though, what, with let's see, seven......or is it eight now?.......movies like this going into production over the past two years, it is okay that one flew under the radar.

Honestly though, I have a feeling that there are more out there.

Today, I want to talk about film maker Bill Barton's western/Bigfoot/horror movie "Blood Forest", which stars Stephen P. Slides, Jon Paul Gates, Matt Riviera and Rachel Favori.

Let's break this one down, Bigfoot is on the loose in Ozark Mountains, killing hapless hikers and hunters, a newspaper reporter is dispatched to get to the bottom of things, the local town sheriff wants to solve the murders, and the last remaining member of the Arkansas Cave (Indian) Tribe holds the secrets to the whole thing.

Not too original there, but sounds interesting enough.

Like I said before, "Blood Forest" is for sale on DVD through, and is just one of an ever-growing list of Bigfoot movies out there right now.

How did Bigfoot become so popular these days? Well, that is a bit of a mystery onto itself. Normally, you would think that these films are 'copycats', you know, one film begets the next. Honestly, however, that is not the case. I have talked to many of these film makers, and they truly were oblivious to the other productions. It's simply a matter of coincidence.

I just want to say one thing to any independent film makers out there who are thinking about making a monster movie. Make it about dinosaurs, or a lake monster, or aliens, not Bigfoot or any of his kin.

I would like to write about something else for a change............please.

Here are the trailers for "Blood Forest":
