Australian director Luke Sparke is taking another bold creative leap with his latest project, PRIMITIVE WAR. "I was captivated by the vivid imagery and compelling narrative in Ethan's book," Sparke explained during pre-production. "My aim has been to meticulously capture that essence, while also infusing the film with a gritty, horror-tinged military edge. Ultimately, I want the audience to feel as if the characters have stepped directly from the world of 'Platoon' into the jaws of the most formidable predators known to our planet."
The accomplished producers Carmel Imrie and Carly Sparke, along with executive producers Geoff Imrie and Luke Sparke, and Post Producer Alex Becconsall, round out the team behind this project. Cinematographer duties will be handled by Wade Muller, known for his work on Occupation Rainfall.
Primitive War author Ethan Pettus added, "I'm thrilled to see Luke's interpretation of my work. I know his talented team is fully committed to this project."
The film Primitive War is being shot on location in Queensland's Gold Coast, Australia. The production will employ a local crew and cast of over 200 people, as well as utilize countless local services and resources.
