Did you know that the City of Huntington Beach hosted its very first 4th of July Celebration over 120 years ago? This long-standing tradition has grown into an incredible event, drawing in more than 500,000 attendees each year. It's a fantastic time for families, friends, and community members to come together, enjoy the festivities, and create lasting memories. Don't miss out on the fun this year!Join us for the Surf City 5K, a fantastic event that stretches along the iconic Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway! Kick off your holiday with a vibrant run through the parade route, where you'll take in sights like the famous Huntington Beach Pier and the stunning Pacific Ocean. The route gently slopes back to Worthy Park for a memorable finish.
Here's the schedule for our races:
- Resident 5K starts at 7 a.m.
- Open 5K begins at 8 a.m.
- Stroller 5K kicks off at 8:15 a.m.
- Kids Fun Run (1 mile) at 9 a.m.
- **Pacific Coast Highway** will be closed from Goldenwest St. to Beach Blvd.
- **Main Street** will also be closed from Pacific Coast Highway to Gothard.

You'll also see the Huntington Beach Mayor and many more fantastic participants adding to the festive atmosphere.
The parade will kick off at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and 9th Street, making its way down 9th Street to Main Street. From there, it will traverse through the heart of downtown and beautiful residential neighborhoods before concluding just past Yorktown Avenue.
