Exciting news for fans of the Macross franchise! To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the beloved Macross Plus Movie Edition, a stunning 4K restoration is set to be released on March 25, 2026. This remastered edition is a limited release, so make sure you mark your calendars!

If you can’t wait to get your hands on it, there’s great news—advanced copies will be available for fans attending the theatrical screenings starting on March 20th. It’s a fantastic opportunity to experience this classic on the big screen before it hits home video!

First hitting theaters in Japan back in October 1995, the Macross Plus Movie Edition was a rework of the four-episode OVA series, reimagined under the talented direction of Shinichiro Watanabe, who also created the iconic Cowboy Bebop, along with Shoji Kawamori. This movie features new footage and an alternate ending that adds depth to this already cherished story.

The special edition package will be beautifully presented, featuring original artwork from renowned special effects director Ichiro Itano.
