From DC Comics
Earlier this year, DC Comics and Marvel Comics announced the continuation of their historic crossover collaboration, set to extend into 2026. This partnership will kick off in January to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original DC/Marvel crossover, "Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man."
Today, DC revealed the creative teams and provided a first look at the cover art for the upcoming one-shot comic book, "Superman/Spider-Man #1."
"Superman/Spider-Man #1" will be published on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, and will retail for $7.99 US (main cover) and $8.99 US (card stock variants). To locate a comic shop near you and preorder your copy, please visit DC’s comic shop locator
The story follows journalists Clark Kent and Peter Parker, who find themselves pursuing the same story. The conspiracy they uncover has the potential to change the world—especially if Brainiac and Doctor Octopus have anything to say about it! Luckily, our determined reporters are secretly Superman and Spider-Man. Mark Waid and Jorge Jiménez team up to craft an unforgettable lead story for "Superman/Spider-Man #1."
In addition to the main story, "Superman/Spider-Man #1" features several bonus stories, showcasing a variety of DC and Marvel characters. Tom King and Jim Lee present a tale involving Lois Lane and Mary Jane Watson, while Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber revisit the adventures of Superman’s pal, Jimmy Olsen, alongside Carnage. Sean Murphy takes us to the future with Superboy (from the Legion) and Spider-Man 2099. Gail Simone collaborates with Belén Ortega to explore what happens when Power Girl meets the Punisher, and Christopher Priest, along with Daniel Sampere, reflects on a time when Superboy Prime—who reads all the comics!—decided to visit Spider-Man right after he got the black suit. Lastly, Greg Rucka and Nicola Scott will take readers on an exciting race between the Daily Planet and the Daily Bugle.

Additionally, we will finally tackle the age-old question of who would win in a fair fight: Pa Kent or Uncle Ben! (Just kidding; those two are too kind to engage in a fight. However, Jeff Lemire and Rafa Sandoval will take us into the past to witness the two men bond in the face of adversity.)
These new stories in "Superman/Spider-Man #1" follow the upcoming Treasury Edition reprints celebrating the original crossover. The reprints include "Treasury Edition: 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1," set for release on January 7, 2026, and "DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spider-Man Treasury Edition #1," coming out on February 4, 2026. Together, the 2026 reprints and new crossover comics highlight the enduring legacy of Superman and Spider-Man as cultural icons that have captivated fans for decades.
