Retro film director Christopher R. Mihm has begun filming his latest project "Terror From Beneath The Earth." Principal photography began last Saturday with several scenes going before the camera. Actually the first scene to be shot was indeed the first scene in the film. That scene introduces actress Elizabeth Kaiser's character, Alice Johnson, and the main set used in the film, the Wisawa caves.Other pivotal scenes shot that day included scenes dealing with the films main antagonist (Some sort of monster we assume!).
For those who are not familiar with Christopher R. Mihm and his production company, Saint Euphoria Pictures / All For George Productions, you have been really missing something. "Terror" will be the companies fourth film, the others being "The Monster of Phantom Lake", "It Came From Another World" and "Cave Women On Mars." With each production Mihm's skill as a director has improved and his teams ability to recreate the feel of the classic B movies of the 50s' and 60s' has become unparalleled. If things continue on this track "Terror From Beneath The Earth" will become another cult movie icon.
After years of underground atomic testing, one of the animals living within the Wisawa caves (a system that stretches from Phantom Lake to the Deadlands) has undergone a radical and unimaginably horrible transformation! While exploring the caves, Dr. Vincent Edwards (Mike Cook) and colleague Rosemary Bennett (Stephanie Mihm) stumble across evidence in the disappearance of local children. After reporting the find to the local sheriff, Dr. Edwards and Rosemary are tapped to lead a rescue attempt. Along with the sheriff and small-town farmer Stan Johnson (the children's father), the rescue party quickly comes to the realization that if the caves don't get them, whatever unseen terror lurking in the shadows just might!
