The Adventures of Sarah Walker aka "Six Gun Sarah"!

 Written By Ken Hulsey

The townspeople of Alamito, a small town in southwest Texas, faced a serious problem. For over a month, a group of seven robbers had been raiding the town, stealing everything they could get their hands on. The residents of Alamito didn't have much to begin with; they were a group of settlers eking out a meager existence by raising a few cattle and tending small farms. These bandits were stripping away everything the townspeople needed to survive on the arid plains.

In desperation, a small group of men decided to venture out to nearby towns, even traveling as far as El Paso, in search of professional gunfighters to help fend off the constant raids. Unfortunately, they found no takers. What could the residents of Alamito offer? Just three meager meals a day and a place to sleep—certainly not enough to entice a gunfighter away from a bottle of whiskey and a card table.

However, history would soon record a miraculous turn of events. One morning, help arrived in the form of Sarah Walker, a skilled gunfighter known as "Six Gun Sarah," although she didn’t fit the typical image of one. Despite her hard life, she appeared much younger than her 30 years. Sarah rode into Alamito with nothing but her horse, a day's worth of rations (if she was lucky), her Bible, the gun her father had left her (who had died just after her birth), and the clothes on her back.

Having traveled a long way from her home in Kansas, she was seeking only enough food and water to carry her into Mexico, where she hoped to start a new life, far from the violence and chaos. She didn’t intend to be a savior, but sometimes fate has other plans.
