THE LOBOTRONIX FILM SHOW promises a monstrously good and dangerously retro time, from 8:30 to 11:30 in the Siskiyou Ballroom/Donnor Pass Ballroom DOUBLETREE HOTEL , San Jose.
Hosted by TV's MR. LOBO and The QUEEN OF TRASH from CINEMA INSOMNIA, THE LOBOTRONIX FILM SHOW, showcases a parade of bizarre short films, monster movie trailers, vintage commercials, and twisted cartoons that might otherwise go unseen by mainstream audiences. This event features the convention classic STAR TREK bloopers, a rare ABBOTT AND COSTELLO skit where they meet an all together different Universal monster, classic GUMBY shorts, the timely BETTY BOOP for President, a plethora of Sci -Fi and Horror film trailers, and many many weird and wonderful surprises. Actual 16mm film clips(not DVD or video) will be provided by prominent Northern California film collectors "SCI-FI BOB" EKMAN and PAUL ETCHEVERRY, who have put on "Psychotronic"-style film shows since the 1970's mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area and most notably, producers for the infamous PYSCHOTRONIX benifit film shows for KFJC at FOOTHILL COLLEGE in Los Altos. These and other recent shows with this type of programming in Sacramento, Castro Valley, San Francisco, Oakland and El Cerrito quickly sold out! This event promises to be fantastic with an earlier start time, free admission included for SILICON attendees and you could even win prizes from MR. LOBO and THE QUEEN OF TRASH!
