It appears that Kirsten Dunst has finally decided that starring in "Spider-Man 4" may be in her best interest after all. For months Sam Raimi has been courting the perennial Hollywood cutie to reprise her role as Mary Jane-Watson, but the young actress continually told the director that she was undecided about playing the part again.
Well Dunst has finally decided to join the cast of "Spider-Man 4" alongside Tobey Maguire, who had signed on for the film, plus "Spider-Man 5" early on.
Now that Raimi has his two main stars, he can now decide on which villain (or villains) good old Spidey will fight next.
Producer Todd Black recently told MTV, "We're just coming up with who the villain's going to be now. We'll be shooting in New York again. Trust me - people will appreciate who we pick, because it'll be a big part of New York."
I personally hope that they decide to use one villain, and not several. Films that try to cram in too many bad guys generally don't work because their isn't enough time to develop the characters.
Then again, fans probably wouldn't care if they threw in another scene of Dunst running around in the rain with no bra on. That image tends to stay with you.

Oh Christ. She's horrible as Mary Jane. I was hoping she'd GO AWAY! And if she's still as skinny as she was in the last film, a wet shirt is the last thing I want to see her in.
ReplyDeleteDunst looks hot, but her Mary Jane started becoming a liability to the series in Part 2. All she does is whine and complain - a far cry from the comic book character. Hopefully her return will be a farewell appearance.
