Doesn't it seem like every movie studio, large or small, is making monster movies these days?

"Hellboy" co-writer Peter Briggs is presently working on a monster movie of his own entitled, "Mortis Rex", which will feature Roman soldiers battling a giant monster. So far the film has been described by some as "300" meets "Cloverfield." From the films synopsis it is fair to assume that would be a fair comparison.
Oh...and before I forget..."Mortis Rex" is Latin for "King Of Death."

"MORTIS REX" is an Ancient Rome monster movie. In 123 AD, a disgraced Roman war hero is sent to defend a Roman garrison stationed in remote Scotland from a spate of mysterious killings.
