The Past Is Revealed In Shueisha's Final Godzilla: Planet of Monsters Manga

Shueisha published the 14th and final chapter on Thursday for Youth Kurahashi's manga adaptation of the Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters (Godzilla: Kaijū Wakusei) film on the Shonen Jump+ website and app. The manga's first and second compiled volumes will both ship on November 2.

Kurahashi (Summer Hero) launched the manga on the website and app on March 29. The manga covers story material not in the anime, adds original elements, and offers a glimpse into the "surprising past" of the characters.
The film, the first in a trilogy, opened in Japan in November 2017 and began streaming on Netflix worldwide on January 17. The second film, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle (Godzilla: Kessen Kidō Zōshoku Toshi, opened in Japan on May 18 and began streaming on Netflix worldwide on July 18. The third film, Godzilla: The Planet Eater (Godzilla: Hoshi wo Kū Mono), will open in Japan on November 9.
Kobun Shizuno (Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare and other Detective Conan movies, Fist of the North Star: The Legend of Kenshirô, Fist of the North Star: The Legend of Toki) and Hiroyuki Seshita (Ajin, Knights of Sidonia) are directing the films at Polygon Pictures. Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero, Psycho-Pass) of Nitroplus is credited with the story concept and screenplay. Urobuchi is also responsible for series composition with Yūsuke Kozaki.
