Happy Friday, everyone! It’s that time of the week again when I share some of my favorite music picks with you all. I’ve poured quite a bit of time and passion into curating this list of fresh tracks, and I think you’re going to love what I’ve found for you this week.
First up, we have the Swiss band Lone Assembly with their captivating track "Out In The Open." It’s a true gem that showcases their unique sound. Then, we have the talented Medeline Goldstein from Los Angeles, who brings us "1996 Expectations." This one is a nostalgic trip that will take you back in time while keeping it modern.
Next, flying in from Washington, D.C., we’ve got Irish Basement delivering "Pictures on the Internet." This track has a fantastic retrowave vibe that’s perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in something both fresh and familiar.
Our journey continues as we head to Canada, where the indie-pop band TOPS has just released "Falling on My Sword." I’ve been following their journey for a few years now, and this new song is a standout addition to their impressive discography.
Finally, we wrap things up with a powerful track from No Future, hailing from Tucson, Arizona. Their song "Despite Everything" rounds out this week’s selection with its heartfelt lyrics and compelling sound.
I’m really excited about this compilation, and I have a strong hunch that you’ll find something in here that resonates with you. On another note, I’ve been updating my Modern Wave playlist on Spotify, and I can’t help but feel that next week might lean into a nostalgic theme. It will be interesting to see what vibes I end up diving into! Stay tuned for what's coming next week!
