Wally's Titans friends throw a surprise party for his twentieth birthday. During the party, he gets an emergency call from the hospital. He is needed to deliver a heart for a transplant patient, writer Eugenie Hedstrom, from New York to Seattle. He convinces the doctors to give him health insurance in return for his help.

While passing through Wyoming, he witnesses Vandal Savage throttle a private investigator to death.

After delivering the heart and speaking with Hedstrom, Wally flies back to New York. The Third World Liberation Army attempts to hijack the flight, but Wally stops them, spraining his wrist in the process. Upon returning to his apartment, he discovers that a lottery ticket he had purchased before the party just made him a millionaire. Then he notices a present he had not seen before. Opening it, he discovers a human heart. Vandal Savage is in his apartment.

Iron Man removes his armor and plugs himself into a nearby wall socket, saving his life. Jarvis arrives and wonders if Tony is Iron Man, but Tony quickly covers up the incident. Soon after Tony departs, Princess Python springs her pet python on Jarvis, forcing him to tell her where Stark has gone. As Iron Man flies over the city, Marianne has another vision of the Cyborg menacing him. Elsewhere, the Super-Adaptoid sets out for revenge, but while flying it suddenly loses its powers and falls to the ground. In the micro-world of Bast, the cousins Tyrr and Jarr are controlling the Adaptoid in the hope of saving their war-riddled world. Tony Stark appears on television for an interview when suddenly Princess Python takes him prisoner with her python, demanding one million dollars and a plane to South America. Tony escapes and becomes Iron Man. He pursues Princes Python to Stark Industries where their battle leads to a catwalk over a vat of acid; Iron Man hurls the python into the vat, killing it. Distraught, Princess Python tries to follow her pet, but Iron Man saves her. In Bast, Tyrr and Jarr transform the Super-Adaptoid into a new being - the Cyborg that Marianne has seen in her visions.

Power Man and Iron Fist #84, October 1982 Issue - Marvel Comics

Sabretooth and Constrictor are back in town, and Sabretooth is out for revenge against Misty Knight for the injuries he sustained in battle against her (he was the mysterious Slasher from issue #78.) Accompanied by the Constrictor, Sabretooth tracks Misty's scent to the apartment she shares with Harmony Young.

Inside Misty, Colleen Wing, Bob Diamond, and Iron Fist are about to go out for the night. Power Man drops Harmony off at home for the night and declines an offer to the join the others. Once everyone else leaves Harmony by her lonesome, Sabretooth (mistaking Harmony for Misty) attacks. When Iron Fist and the others hear the commotion; they then doubled back to try and rescue Misty, but they then find themselves blocked by the Constrictor.

The X-Men are sent by Professor Xavier to find a mutant detected by Cerebro. Dr. John Stennis arrives at the farm of Jacob and Marjorie Marks to find all the livestock dead. Entering the house he finds Marjorie who has been aged to the point of death. Elsewhere Silas Lane arrives at the Clark residence and is terrified to find the ‘killer robot’ sitting in their living room. After the situation is explained, he pulls the birth records and they compare the lists. It is realized the Jacob Marks also is listed as having the same birthday as the banished Wraiths. Rom is concerned that a Wraith may have married a human woman and sired a child. Rom, Brandy, and Steve head to the Marks farm where they find Jacob & Marjorie outside. Jacob openly declares himself a Dire Wraith and relates how he came to be on Earth and what has happened so far. Rom enters the house and confronts the child, Jimmy Marks who is revealed as Hybrid. Jacob attempts to slay the abomination but is himself slain. Rom attempts to banish Hybrid, but his unique DNA does not allow it. Rom is about to use the highest setting of his Neutralizer on Hybrid when the X-men arrive. Jimmy has reverted to his child form and the X-men believe Rom to be the danger.

Living the Logan Legacy: Tim Seeley & X-23

Of all those impacted, however, X-23 wonders if his death defines her fate as well, something writer Tim Seeley explores in October’s DEATH OF WOLVERINE: THE LOGAN LEGACY #2. Seeley tells Marvel.com where he and artist Ariela Kristantina plan to take the former assassin berserker as she copes with the loss of her genetic kin.

Marvel.com: What interested you most about getting to write an installment in this critical post-Death of Wolverine limited series, THE LOGAN LEGACY?

Tim Seeley: Mostly it was the chance to work with [editors] Mike [Marts] and Katie [Kubert] again, as well as the crew I work with on Batman Eternal, James [Tynion IV], Ray [Fawkes], Kyle [Higgins], and the bonus Marguerite [Bennett]! Plus, I thought it’d be interesting to deal with a Marvel U without Wolverine, since he’s been so prominently in the forefront of comics since I started reading them.

Marvel.com: From your perspective, what makes X-23 such an engaging character to write and also so critical to the legacy concept?

Tim Seeley: Well, she’s actually part Wolverine, in that she shares a lot of his DNA, but she’s never been his daughter. So that makes for some interesting conflicts for her to deal with. Honestly I was never really very into X-23, I think the clone thing turned me off, but [I’m interested in] having her have to deal with the death of a guy whose life could determine her future appealed to me; the idea of nature vs. nurture, and if she’s predestined to live Logan's life.

Marvel.com: Without giving too much away, how does she react to Logan’s death?

Tim Seeley: At first, I think she sees it as very fatalistic. She sees her end in the way he died. She thinks her future is written.

Chapter 1: "The Doomsmith Scenario"

Professor X gathers the large team together in the school. He wants to congratulate them on their last battle as well as talk to them about the future. No sooner does he get the words out of his mouth when Sunfire speaks up and says he is leaving the team. Xavier tries to stop him, but Sunfire refuses. The other new members of the team stay, some hesitantly and Sunfire flies away. Banshee is asked and begins to say that he is too old for the team of young heroes, but accepts the challenge anyhow.

Unexpectedly, some of the original group as well as Lorna Dane and Havok decide to leave. They reason that when they joined the team, they were young and inexperienced. They have decided to live their lives on their own since Xavier has taught them to be responsible. Out of the original group, Cyclops is the only one to remain.

The next day, Cyclops says his goodbyes and tells Jean he loves her and that he is staying. She tells him she loves him and then leaves with the rest of the group. Cyclops brings the new team to the Danger Room for their first trial run. Thunderbird proudly decides to go first and a few seconds later is flung out the entrance. The next few days of Danger Room training runs the X-Men group hard. During one of the sequences, Thunderbird is grazed by a laser beam on his leg. Cyclops calls him out as being careless and tells him how he could have lost his leg if the laser was on full power. Thunderbird fights back until Xavier telepathically demands their disgraceful display to cease. He tells Thunderbird to get to the infirmary and Cyclops to report to his office.

Chapter 2: "Death O'er Valhalla High!"

In the Rocky Mountains of Colorado a helicopter flies near Valhalla Mountain. Buried beneath the mountain is the command center for NORAD. In the War Room, a package is brought to Joe Harris. He opens it and finds that it is a box that has written, "Press Me," on it. Joe laughs and presses the button. Instantly, the box disappears and a large portal opens above them. Out of the portal come five beings looking like various wild creatures.

The creatures attack the soldiers and quickly overcome them. More soldiers flood in and the battle continues but then a voice tells them to stop; it belongs to Count Nefaria! He is the boss of these creatures and says that he has detained the remaining soldiers with gas. He also reminds the creatures of how he made them, after he and his last group of criminals were captured by the X-Men. He remembers how he built these new beings with the help of Maggia scientists and says that he will use them to take his revenge on the world. He begins to turn dials on the computers.

Meanwhile, Cyclops thinks of how his reactions to Thunderbird during their training may have been overreactions. Nightcrawler enters and tries to console Cyclops, when suddenly a telepathic message from Xavier tells them to report immediately to the briefing room. They race there and find a video message from Nefaria playing on the main screen. Nefaria informs them that he has activated the "Doomsmith Command System" and demands that each country give him money as ransom and if they refuse to pay he will launch all the US nuclear missiles. He gives the world three hours to decide then the transmission ends. Beast comes up on screen and asks for Professor Xavier's help with Nefaria. The X-Men accept and head for their jet. Thunderbird demands that Cyclops allow him to join them and Professor X tells him he can, although still injured.

The X-Men are met by the Air Force when they reach Valhalla Mountain. They inform them they are taking the Avengers' place in the fight and then they are told to contact Lieutenant General Fredricks. They do and though he is reluctant to trust them, he allows their help. The army is attacking the mountain as the X-Men fly toward it. Nefaria spots their jet and fires the base's SAM's at them. Cyclops maneuvers the jet around the mountain to try to destroy the missiles. They hit the jet and Cyclops hits the eject button. An escape jet breaks away with the X-Men inside. Nefaria then fires the sonic disruptors at the jet and it disappears. The X-Men, however, free-fall toward the ground...

'X-Men: Apocalypse': Bryan Singer teases new film 'will address mutant origins' -- Exclusive

X-Men: Days of Future Past doesn’t come out until May but director Bryan Singer has already begun teasing fans with details on Past‘s planned follow-up, X-Men: Apocalypse, tentatively set for release in 2016. First, there was the cryptic announcement tweet in early December. Then, he tweeted a photo of a work session with Past writer Simon Kinberg and X2 scribes Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty.

The question is Will Singer direct this X-Men installment? Maybe. “I’m co-writing the story and I’m producing it,” says the director. “I’m negotiating to direct. We’re in the process. We’re trying to figure it out, schedules. My desire would be to direct it.”

While this summer’s The Wolverine introduced the plot for Past in its final moments, Singer reveals he’s still not sure whether Past will feature an Apocalypse tease. “I’m still deciding that,” he says. “Something that happens in this movie causes what’s going to happen in that movie.”

'X-Men: Days of Future Past': Patrick Stewart on-set picture released

A picture of Sir Patrick Stewart has been released from the X-Men: Days of Future Past set.

Director Bryan Singer posted the Twitter picture, which will be his last preview before shooting begins on the film today.

"Picture before picture," he wrote. "Tomorrow it begins."

Stewart will return to the role of Professor Charles Xavier alongside James McAvoy, who will play a younger version of the telepath in the time travel tale.

Singer's most recent picture showed him standing before what is believed to be the outside of the mutant locating computer Cerebro.

The film features a huge cast which will see Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Sir Ian McKellen, McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Halle Berry and Daniel Cudmore return to their roles from previous films in the 20th Century Fox franchise.
