For months now there has be speculation on whether Catwoman would appear in Christopher Nolan's follow-up to the mega-hit "The Dark Knight", reportedly called "Gotham." Along with this speculation has come a long list of potential femme felines that includes Cher, Kate Beckinsale, Angelina Jolie, Rachel Weisz and even the actress who played the character in the 1992 film "Batman Returns", Michelle Pfeiffer.
Today the British tabloid, The Sun, is reporting that Megan Fox has landed the role and will be on set alongside Christian Bale and Michael Caine when filming begins early next year.
Undoubtedly, adding Fox to the film would be a 'hot' ticket item, as if a film like 'Gotham' needed one, that would get more fanboys in the seats, as if just the fact that it is a Christopher Nolan 'Batman' film wasn't enough.
Now, I don't think that I need to point out the fact that this news comes from The Sun, a tabloid, so obviously this could just be fodder.
Fox is set to make young men drool all over themselves in the upcoming dark comedy "Jennifer's Body", which will be released September 18th.
No word on whether Eddy Murphy will be playing The Riddler yet. No....really....that's the rumor.

I can see her agent gunning for this, but I'm not inclined to believe any Megan Fox rumors until an official announcement has been made. You know as well as anyone that agents and publicists float these rumors on purpose, to generate press for their clients.
ReplyDeleteThis is OBVIOUSLY BS. Nolan wouldn't cast Fox in the next Batman film. Fox has NO acting talent whatsoever and is only cast because she attracts the horny teenagers.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the idea that this story was started by Fox's publicist. Whoever that person is, they are earning their money by keeping her in the news on a daily basis, ciculating stories like mad to keep her in the public's eye....even though Megan insists she hates all the publicity.
ReplyDeleteNo, I honestly don't think Megan Fox will be the next Catwoman...I would be surprised if that were true.
I would think that either Rachel Weisz or Kate Beckinsale would make better sense, but I can see Nolan casting a litttle known actress out of left field in the part.
Cher is an awful choice, so is Michelle Pfeiffer. I'm so sick of Angelina Jolie, "Wanted" was one of the worst movies I've ever seen....and their making a sequel...blah!
