Producer/director/writer Donald F. Glut of Frontline Entertainment completed a photo shoot of Christine Nguyen this week at his Burbank home, which is also a museum of dinosaur artifacts, science-fiction & horror movie memorabilia and various other interests.

The photo shoot had been delayed due to Christine's busy schedule. This week, she's been at work on "MILF," a comedy from The Asylum.

New STAR WARS TV And Movie Series To Be UNLEASHED?

Written By: Ken Hulsey
Source: CVG

It seems that the live-action "Star Wars" television series has been in 'development hell' from the moment it was first announced way back in 2005. Depending on who you talk to, there are either scripts ready to go, or still being written, casting has already begun, or is set to begin sometime soon. In other words, news on the series is sketchy at best.

The last words to come out of the mouth of George Lucas on the subject stated that the project was on hold while the producers tried to figure out how to produce a "Star Wars" quality series on a limited budget, well, a limited budget in the Lucasfilm universe anyway.

Everyone involved has been very tight-lipped about any proposed ideas for either characters or stories for these new "Star Wars" based episodes. The only thing known for sure is that the series will take place in the time between the events seen in "Revenge of the Sith" and "A New Hope", and will involve characters on the fringe of the SW universe.

A new hint on what we may be able to expect from the series has come from LucasArts executive producer Haden Blackman, who believes elements from the popular video game, "The Force Unleashed" will have a lot to do with storyline development, "I hope so, we're already seeing it reach out into publishing with comic books and novels that are taking into account stories we've created and characters we've created," he told Andy Robinson of the CVG website. "Hopefully some day we see these characters on big or little screen."

We're dealing in a period of time that has largely been unexplored by anything," he said. "Force Unleashed was the first major story we set in that time period. I think we surprised a lot of fans with that story because we showed the formation of the Rebel Alliance and introduce the concept of the dark secret apprentice".

Since it has been said over-and-over-again by the folks at Lucasfilm, that no mainstream characters will make it into the proposed television series, it can only be assumed that like Darth Vader and the Jedi, any "Force Unleashed" inspired references will probably come in the form of being mentioned in conversation or somehow the events from the game will effect the lives of the characters involved in some way.

In other words, don't expect to see Vader and his apprentice, "Starkiller", showing up in any episodes to make a fashion statement.

Though it has been stated that the "Star Wars" TV series may make it to the small screen as early as 2011, I would estimate that it will actually be 2012 or 2013 before this one gets rolling.

Oh, and as far as "The Force Unleashed" making it into any new "Star Wars" movies, I haven't heard any plans for "Episode 3.25", ".50" or ".75" so I don't see that ever happening.

The again, if there's money to be made........who knows?

THE BLOODY RAGE OF BIGFOOT - New DVD Deal And Website

Written By: Ken Hulsey
Source: James Baack

I just received an email from film maker James Baack stating that he has just signed a distribution deal for his film, "The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot" through Cheezy Flicks Entertainment, the same company that sells the Charles Pierce classic, "The Legend of Boggy Creek."

James didn't go into any details, except that the contract was inked on Wednesday, and that the deal would expand the availability of his Bigfoot horror movie that doubles as a psychological thriller.

In related news, Baack also passed along the news that his production company, Great Lakes Artists Group, a co-op between James, Steve Galayda, Ron Feyereisen, Tina Boivin, and his brother Paul Baack, had just launched a brand-new website. (Go Here)

Here is the info on Great Lakes Artists Group:

The Great Lakes Artists Group is an association of Chicago-area artists,
filmmakers, musicians, and writers. Founded in 2006 by noted cryptozoological
artist and painter James Baack, the group focuses on creative expressions
representing the outré and fantastic side of reality. The group has recently
celebrated a team milestone with the release of its first motion picture, the
horror comedy
The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot. The enthusiastic reception the film has received from fans of the genre has inspired the group to begin planning a follow-up feature, tentatively called The Sisters of St. Tommygun. Watch this site for news of further developments!

"The Sisters of St. Tommygun" film is a new one on me, I may Baack revealed to me that his next film would be "Orgy of the Damned", (originally titled, "The Uninvited Alien Invasion"). I guess we will just have to wait and see on that one.

Along with news and information about the groups upcoming film the site is also the new home of Satantha & Loosey-Fur's House of Sin, a sub-site that features actresses Andrea Hutchison and Tina Boivin from "Bloody Rage" and the proposed "Orgy of the Damned". If you like girls with guns and girls posed on motorcycles go - HERE

I tip my hat to Baack and his comrades up in the Chicago area. I wish them continued success in their endeavors to keep pumping out their over-the-top horror movies.

KING KONG Comes Roaring Back In Style At Universal Studios

Source: PR Wire (Press Release)

"King Kong 360 3-D" Created by Peter Jackson, the world's largest most intense 3-D experience, celebrated its premiere on the famed Universal Studios Hollywood(SM) Studio Tour, combining a ground-breaking use of Surround Digital 3-D film and thrilling visceral effects to create a next-generation theme park experience. The new attraction will open to the public Thursday, July 1.

The world premiere of the attraction featured a star-studded guest list and an innovative "3D press briefing" by the attraction's creator, Peter Jackson. "King Kong 360 3-D" is the first theme park attraction to be directed by the three-time Oscar®-winning storyteller and filmmaker.

In the new attraction, guests aboard Studio Tour trams are given special 3-D glasses as they enter an enormous soundstage larger than a football field. Once inside, the trams are enveloped within enormous screens, their size equaling an area equivalent to 16 conventional movie screens and rest atop steel platens that provide a powerful motion base. Via the magic of Surround Digital 3D projection, guests are transported deep into a tangled jungle location. There, they survive a close encounter with a swarm of hungry raptors, only to be confronted by the terrifying presence of 35' tall dinosaurs. Suddenly, the 25' tall Kong gorilla appears. The trams roll and shudder as the guests find themselves caught in the middle of a titanic struggle between the great ape and carnivorous reptiles.

The enormous scale and the cutting edge technology employed by the designers elevate the powerful, iconic storyline to a new level. The vivid realism of the 3D immersion and the synchronized motion of the tram combine to produce a sense of immersion without precedent in a theme park attraction.

Peter Jackson, director of the Oscar®-winning 2005 Universal Pictures film upon which the attraction is based, said: "As a filmmaker, you're hoping to have the audience step inside your movie and become part of the experience...to create the illusion of reality in a way that is much more tactile and profound than can be done in the cinema environment of a normal theatre. The new `King Kong 360 3D' at Universal Studios Hollywood provided us with a unique opportunity to really push film and theme park technology to create that illusion. Our intention was to create a spectacular and immersive 3D experience and we're confident that we've achieved that. King Kong 360 3D is the largest most intense 3D experience on the planet."

Larry Kurzweil, President, Universal Studios Hollywood, said: "After a two-year absence, King Kong has returned with a vengeance never before seen. Guests from around the world will feel as if they are completely immersed in Peter Jackson's 3D storytelling. 'King Kong 360-3D' is the fight of the century and a highly repeatable breakthrough thrill ride, taking theme park and movie making experiences to an entirely new level."

King Kong, known as "the eighth wonder of the world," has been called "the experience for which movies were invented." Since first appearing on the screen in the 1933 original classic, "King Kong" has been re-made twice, each time on a tremendous scale, earning a total of seven Oscar® and three Golden Globe® nominations. Most recently, Peter Jackson's 2005 version took classic elements of the original "King Kong" story and adrenalized them with up-to-the-minute effects magic and the alchemic talents of a superlative group of filmmakers, cast and crew. Released to critical acclaim in late 2005, "King Kong" was a worldwide hit.

The arrival of the new "King Kong 360 3-D" experience coincides with major enhancements to the iconic Studio Tour. The most extensive backlot construction ever in the history of Universal Studios, which includes re-creations of legendary Hollywood sets and the introduction of brand-new shooting locations, was recently completed and the renowned studio will soon buzz with star-studded film and television production as never before.
