The Bloody Rage Of Bigfoot - New Trailer And Filming News

Written By: Ken Hulsey
Sources: James Baack / Avery Guerra

If you have been following the progress of James Baack's horror film, "The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot", then you could understand why I was a bit nervous when a brand-new trailer for the film arrived in my in box today. I have to admit that I think watching the last trailer for the film caused me some psychological damage. It is a bizarre clip. If you haven't seen it, you aren't going believe it.

Well, that being said, I watched the clip, and I was rather surprised by what I saw. The new trailer is more in line with a standard 'teaser' trailer. In the clip a couple of teen-age girls nervously approach a scary looking old run-down house and knock on the door. The next thing you here is them both screaming. A very effective horror movie clip overall, and a far cry better than it's predecessor at getting someone interested in seeing the film.

At this time Baack is still shooting the film. This past weekend's filming should be of interest to Japanese monster movie fans. Baack explains, "We shot a huge scene last Saturday. The "Witch scene" as we put it. This is the scene where we introduce "Demonfoot" into the film. Demonfoot is the monster that will later do battle with Bigfoot and it comes across like War of the Gargantuas with an NC-17 rating. We have a few surprises in the film that will especially appeal to Kaiju or Godzilla fans."

Baack goes on to explain that the location for the shoot had to be moved due to fears that scenes being filmed would cause uninvited evil, "The original location that we were planning on shooting 'The Witch Scene' at, withdrew their offering as a location to film. Their reasoning behind the change of heart was because, and I quote: 'After reviewing your script and outline of this particular segment of the film, we will not allow or permit you and your crew to film a scene such as this on this property. We feel that this would encourage "Evil Spirits" to enter into our home and we don't want to take the chance. Sorry' We had to find a new location in less that 48 hours, but thanks to my good friend Wendy, we were able to pull it off."

Makes you wonder exactly what kind of stuff goes on in "The Witch Scene"? Sounds like some pretty powerful stuff!

Maybe Baack should market his film as "The Legend of Boggy Creek" meets "The Exorcist"?

Wonder what kind of kaiju inspired stuff can we expect to see? I know Avery Guerra knows, but he's not telling me!
