The most profound blessing we can experience is to dwell in the power and presence of God. It is a true privilege to witness the transformative power of Christ in our lives. When His presence is felt, remarkable things unfold. Jesus came into this world to guide us from the shadows of darkness into the brilliance of His light. His presence is truly the greatest gift we could ever receive.
Jesus is fundamentally the Light and the Life, as depicted in scripture (Isaiah 9:2-3, NKJV; John 8:12, NKJV; John 1:1-5, NKJV). To truly experience this Light, it is essential to grasp His divine identity. He stands as the Light of the world, a profound gift from God, who loves us unconditionally. In His immense love, God sent His Son to illuminate our lives and guide us through darkness. It is His desire to manifest heaven on earth in our existence through Jesus (Matthew 6:10, NKJV).
I have often noted that the strength of Louisiana comes from its people. The folks down here are hardworking, polite, loving, and God-fearing. Jesus had come into town for the Passover celebration and was nearing the time when he would be betrayed by one of his disciples, publicly humiliated and mocked, beaten beyond recognition, and hung on a cross to die. It was the night before his suffering when he made his special request for his followers to remember that He gave his body for them and poured out his blood as a sacrifice for them.
