The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot - The Book Based on the Film
You saw it on the big screen in stunning 3-D, now read the story that started it all!
Yes indeed horror movie junkies James Baack's unique take on Sasquatch cinema is now available in book form on Amazon Kindle!
If for some reason you are not familiar with this one let me summarize it for you. A serial killer in a pig mask, a maniacal clown, a pair of sexy witches who are into the rough stuff and ... of course ... Bigfoot come together in a roller-coaster of a tale of occult, mystery and cryptozoology.
Got your attention didn't it?
Here is a brief synopsis:
Bigfoot Horror master, Eric S. Brown, returns with an adaptation of Great Lake Films' The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot. Like a 1970s Marvel horror comic, The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot blends action and horror as two witches and the world's leading Sasquatch expert seek vengeance and attempt to stop the legendary monster's latest killing spree.
Once you read 'The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot' you will never think of Bigfoot the same way again!
Never mind the fact that my name is in the credits ...
The Bloody Rage Of Bigfoot - Behind The Scenes Shots
Written By: Ken HulseySources: James Baack / Avery Guerra
James Baack has finally sent us some good shots of the Bigfoot from his movie, "The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot". Although, from these photos, it looks like he may be a bit of a wussy.
Let's see in one shot Bigfoot is running from a witch in a pig mask. In another he seems to be in a fight to the death with said piggy and in yet another he seems to be being robbed in his own kitchen by a girl with a gun.
It looks like good old Sasquatch isn't having a good week.
Oh, and nice lightning effects in that battle pic!
Where is Steve Austin when you need him?
Another highlight is a witch beating the crap out of some guy with a stick.
Is it my imagination, or does "The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot" kinda look like a female domination flick? Hey, the photo evidence doesn't lie, and from what we see here, the guys are getting dealt all the pain.
God knows what happened to that pour guy laying on the floor, but I'm sure that his girlfriend beat him up.
What about us guys James? How long will we have to suffer at the hands of these abusive femmes?
My Lord! Even Bigfoot is on the run from these she-demons!
Note: I know that James has experienced a very personal loss lately, and everyone here at MIN has kept him in our prayers.

Let me tell ya, film maker James Baack is one cool cat. He loves Bigfoot, Godzilla, action figures and Monster Island News.
Honestly, I'm not calling him 'cool' just because he loves the site, and the fact that he has opted to use MIN to feature photographs of just about every scene from his movie, "The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot", has not influenced my opinion about him one bit.
No sir.
James is just one of those crazy kind of geeks that it would be cool to spend a weekend with building a model city, then blowing it up.
You really can't say that about everyone.
Well, enough of the man-love, let's get to the topic at hand, which is Baack's movie, and the fact that the film maker has blessed us with, yet, even more photos.
Now, unless this is your very first, or possibly second, visit to Monster Island News, you know all about "Bloody Rage", a movie....that.....well.....is certain to be unlike any other Bigfoot movie you have ever seen.
No, I mean that, there are clowns, sexy witches, explosions, blood....buckets of it, Bigfoot, chicks in pig masks and even some sort of a Bigfoot-Godzilla hybrid thing that I haven't been able to figure out.
Oh, and its in 3D, which should come as no surprise, because every film these days is in 3D, or at least it will soon seem that way.
Let me run down the action from today's pics. There's LooseyFur, one of the sexy witches I mentioned a moment ago, shooting at something (above). A shot of the two witches being picked-up on in a bar by some sleaze, and a shot of one of them killing the guy. A shot of Baack himself in another bar scene. To finish things off, a couple of pics of guys out hunting, I assume for Bigfoot, in the boonies.
Can you really gather much about "The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot" from these shots? No, but as long as Baack keeps sending them to me, I will keep posting them. Why? Because Baack is cool that's why.

Okay, I don't want all of you Cryptozoology fans getting all worked up thinking that I have managed to get my hands on some photos that actually show Bigfoot attacking some guy. I'm sorry to report that these pics are from a movie, though if there were some shots like that, fake or otherwise, I would be the guy who would post them.
The film that these rather blurry photos are from (aren't all Bigfoot photos blurry?) is James Baack's over-the-top horror film, "The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot."
If you have been reading Monster Island News for any reasonable period of time than you probably know all about this one. If not, well, let me just say that this one is a real mind-bender with tons of pretty young girls, gore, violence,....um hot young girls with guns, more gore, more violence, clowns, occult rituals, and.......um.....Bigfoot.
Confused? Don't worry, we all are, but Baack is promising a Bigfoot horror movie like no other, and from everything I've seen so far, that's exactly what we are going to get.
I hadn't heard from Baack for a bit, so I was a bit concerned that those crazed Sasquatch groupies from Illinois had rubbed him out.
That's a whole another story folks......follow the links at the bottom of this article if ya want to find out more.
Anyway the film maker just clued me in to the fact that his little film will be making it's debut this summer at the "Flashback Weekend" Horror Convention in Chicago.
Baack also provided the batch of photos below, proof positive that indeed Bigfoot has gone on a bloody cinematic rage:

Yes boys and girls, 2009 is the year of the Bigfoot movie, and out of all of them, the wildest has to be James Baack's 3D entry, "The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot." Many of you may remember a few months back when we hosted the ultra-surreal trailer for the film. Many others may have blocked it from their minds, and yet others may have had to go through therapy.
I myself, just needed a beer.
Anyway, Baack is promising that his film will be a non-stop roller coaster of gore, girls, occult rituals, more gore, more girls, girls in pig masks, clowns, girls with guns and, of course, monsters.
James was kind enough to send an email last week to announce that he has completed filming "The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot" and that he had to literally endure the wrath of God to do it.
According to the film maker, "We shot for close to 9 months and have over 20 hours of footage to go through but it is all done. We went through a series of roadblocks such as Protesters, A Tornado, Police, Angry Property Owners, and really pissed off wives, but we are all a go and on the home stretch."
The 'home stretch' will consist of cutting that 20 hours of footage down to 2 hours or less by spring of next year.
Baack has big plans for the premiere of his film, which if it all goes as planned, will more resemble a KISS concert, than a movie premiere.
James was also kind enough to ship us a huge batch of pics from "The Bloody Rage of Bigfoot", and in being consistent with most Bigfoot photography, some of the shots are of the blurry kind:

Written By: Ken HulseySources: Medicine Show Cinema / Melantha Blackthorne (via Facebook)
Back in late June I posted the poster for "Fable: Teeth of Beasts", an occult/sci fi film starring Melantha Blackthorne. At the time, there wasn't much info on the film, in fact it wasn't even listed on the Medicine Show Cinema, the company who is producing the film, website.
Since that time more information has surfaced and actress Melantha Blackthorne has posted some behind-the-scenes photos.
"Fable: Teeth of Beasts" is Medicine Show Cinema's first attempt at producing a 'big-budget' film with multiple locations, a large cast, epic story arc and high-end special effects. Prior to this effort both producer David R Williams and director Sean Michael Argo had been wallowing in the depths of ultra-low-budget horror films, something that the duo had long wanted to break free from.
Here is a description of the film, from the production companies website:
FABLE: TEETH OF BEASTS a dark fantasy epic seasoned with elements of film noir, cyber and steam punk, black magic, action, horror, and an ass-kicking female hero. Not to mention a white trash pregnant muscle car driving goddess of the desert, mythological creatures updated, one of the creepiest child molesters ever put on film, and Ouija board modding frankenscience witches.
The basic story? A demon seeks to destroy the city of Fable, a city that exists between the worlds of magic and science, reality and fantasy, the mundane and the amazing. One woman, the aforementioned ass-kicking Lilith Noir played by the beautiful and buxom Melantha Blackthorne stands between the demon and the end of the city she calls home.
Production on "Fable" began back in 2007 and is presently entered the editing stages. As of yet, no release date has been announced.
Here are a set of behind-the-scenes shots posted by actress Melantha Blackthorne:

The First Look At Melantha Blackthorne As Lilith Noir In Fable: Teeth Of Beasts
Written By: Ken HulseySource: Melantha Blackthorne (via Facebook)
The multi-talented Melantha Blackthorne (Death Race, The Night They Returned) has just posted the first poster art from Medicine Show Cinema's upcoming release, "Fable: Teeth of Beasts" on Facebook
The actress plays the main character, Lilith Noir, in "Fable"alongside Kathleen Benner, Jose Rosete and Raw Leiba.
Little is known about the occult action thriller, in fact the film isn't even listed on the studio's website, but Melantha posted this synopsis along with the image:
Lilith Noir is a hardboiled freelance enforcer for the shadow government that keeps watch over the city of Fable, a mythical realm that exists just beneath the surface of our awareness. When a fast talking private detective shows up on her doorstep, Lilith is faced with the case of a lifetime. A new drug has hit the streets of Fable, black market Ouija boards are everywhere, victims of bizarre murders are choking the city morgue, and the prime suspect is an ancient demon masquerading as an urban vagrant. Witchcraft. Guns. The Occult. Never a dull day in the twilight city.
According to IMDB Sean-Michael Argo served as writer and director on the film, which as of this moment, doesn't have a release date.

There Is No Need To Fear, Rosemary's Baby Has Been Aborted
Written By: Ken HulseySource: WENN
Producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form have decided to scrap their plans to remake the 1968 horror film "Rosemary's Baby ". The duo has been searching desperately for any fresh ideas that could put a modern spin on the classic film that was based on a 1967 novel by Ira Levin. Ultimately they failed at every attempt.
Andrew Form explains, "We went down that road and we even talked to the best writers in town and it feels like it might not be do-able. We couldn't come up with something where it felt like it was relevant and we could add something to it other than what it was, so we're now not going to be doing that film."
The original film, "Rosemary's Baby" was directed by Roman Polanski and starred Mia Farrow as a naive housewife who is raped by an evil presence and is forced to give birth to the spawn of the Devil.
It's God vs Satan In The BBC's New Series Apparitions
Source: BBCApparitions is a hard-hitting new drama that takes us on a terrifying journey into a world of possession and satanic conspiracy. All out war between good and evil is imminent and it's time to choose sides.
Martin Shaw stars as Father Jacob, a Roman Catholic priest who is working to promote candidates for sainthood but is drawn against his will into the world of exorcism.
The idea for the series came from Martin himself as he had long wanted to play an exorcist. It was subsequently picked up and developed further by Joe Ahearne (This Life, Ultraviolet, Doctor Who).
Tony Wood, Creative Director of Lime Pictures, says: "Joe Ahearne has created a gripping story of intrigue and mystery which raises as many questions as it answers.
"Martin Shaw is the perfect choice to play the lead role in this bold series, a very different and darker acting challenge to that which the audience will have seen him in before."
The cast for Apparitions features John Shrapnel (The Duchess, Elizabeth, Gladiator) as Cardinal Bukovak, Jacob's boss who keeps a close watch on his every move; Luigi Diberti (Immortal Beloved) plays Monsignor Vincenzo, Rome's chief exorcist who is soon to retire and wants Jacob to take over from him; Elyes Gabel (Casualty) is pre-ordained priest Vimal who suffers torment at the hands of Michael, a possessed homeless man, played by Rick Warden (Band Of Brothers, Trial And Retribution, Rome).Michelle Joseph (A Touch Of Frost, In Deep) is Jacob's aide, Sister Anne, who chooses to look for good rather than evil but remains resolutely loyal to Jacob.
Siobhan Finneran (Benidorm, Boy A) is Sister Ruth who joins the series from episode two when she's sent from Rome to monitor Jacob's activities.
Guest stars also include Shaun Dooley (Mark Of Cain, The Street) as single dad Liam, accused by his daughter of possession in episodes one and two.
Guest starring in episode three is Neil Pearson (The Booze Cruise, Drop The Dead Donkey, Bridget Jones' Diary) and Elizabeth Berrington (In Bruges, Moving Wallpaper).
Neil plays the role of Lassiter, a prison governor who calls for Jacob's help when Cory, one of the inmates, shows signs of possession, while Elizabeth plays Kim, the mother of one of Cory's victims.
Episode four features Claudia Harrison (Murphy's Law, Attachments) as Janice, who runs a women's health clinic and comes to Jacob in desperation when there appear to be demonic forces attacking her patients.
Adrian Bower (Teachers, Talk To Me) also guest stars as Simon, a possessed man who is trying to orchestrate a series of satanic births.
And in episode six there's a surprise appearance from Cherie Lunghi (Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, Cutting It) who plays a woman who encounters Jacob at his lowest ebb.
Apparitions is a six-part 60-minute drama written by Joe Ahearne (This Life, Ultraviolet, Doctor Who).
Joe also directed four episodes with John Strickland (Bodies, Clocking Off) directing episodes three and four.
The producers are Anne Harrison-Baxter (Wild At Heart, Waterloo Road), who produced episodes one and two, and Caroline Levy (Cape Wrath), who produced episodes three to six.
The Executive Producers are Matthew Read and Anne Mensah (BBC) and, for Lime Pictures, Carolyn Reynolds and Tony Wood.
Apparitions is a Lime Pictures production for BBC One.
Sky High (2003)(Movie)
It starts in present-day Tokyo. A serial murderer is on the loose who is baffling the cops with his MO -- he tears an internal organ out of young women and then suspends his victims in dramatic poses in big open spaces. (Is Kitamura referencing "Silence of the Lambs" here? I think so.) A hot-blooded detective, Kanzaki (Shosuke Tanihara), becomes determined to crack the case -- so much so that he loses track of time and sleeps at his desk, the wall behind him covered with grisly photos of the victims.
Then a colleague wakes him up and reminds him that today is his wedding. Kanzaki tears off to the church, arriving just in time to save his bride, the trusting, tender-hearted Mina (Yumiko Shaku), from an emotional meltdown.
Enough to say that, instead of glorying in this day of days, Mina ends up dead -- the killer's fourth victim. Cut to the dark, smoky, antechamber of the Other World, where an imperious young woman in black leather awaits Mina's soul. Called only Izuko (Eihi Shiina), she is the guardian of the huge, gray-metal Urami no Mon (Gate of Revenge). She gives Mina three choices: 1) Accept death and go to heaven; 2) Reject it and wander the world as a ghost; 3) Kill one person and go to hell. Unable to make up her mind and consumed with longing, Mina returns to the world of the living.
There she finds her fiance, distraught after being taken off the case -- but soon out for revenge. But if he kills the killer, Mina knows, he will go to hell. Somehow she has to save him. Then she remembers her own murder -- and a certain Kudo (Takao Osawa), and his slinky, merciless assistant. Kudo, we learn, is a geneticist with an unholy ambition and psychic powers. When he sees Mina in his lab, he mocks her -- nothing, certainly not a wimpy ghost, is about to stand in his way. Somehow Mina must stop him, before he opens the gates of hell . . .
