This past weekend, my wife discovered one of my old pictures that I surprisingly didn’t have in my archives. The photo depicts a lonely desert road in Nevada, rendered in stark black and white. In this form, the image powerfully conveys a sense of emptiness.

Only a true Space Cowboy would kick off a discussion about wisdom with a quote from a Star Wars movie. This might just be my subtle hint that I’m in dire need of some of that elusive wisdom myself. After all, I chose a line from an intergalactic fry cook instead of quoting a wise Jedi Master like Yoda or Obi Wan Kenobi. Now that we’ve acknowledged my questionable choice, let’s dive into the real topic here.
