For some time now there has been talk that actress Gillian Anderson has had her fill of "The X-Files" franchise and wanted very strongly to 'move on'. According to Anderson, there have been rumblings to that effect, though they haven't come from her.

Anderson, who has played FBI agent Dana Scully on "The X-Files" television series from 1993 to 2002 and in two movies, is very aliment about returning to the role in a new movie, if one is produced.

Recently Anderson spoke to reporters about returning as Dana Scully saying, "There isn't any reason not to do it. I feel a commitment to that group of people I worked with and we still enjoy doing it. There is no reason not to come together and do it again. If they can pull it off, we'll find a reason to make it."

As of this time, there hasn't been any talks about a third "X-Files" film, unless Anderson knows something that nobody else does.

Maybe, at this junction, it would be good for Chris Carter to produce another film to go against adult film makers New Sensations upcoming movie, "The X-Files - A Dark XXX Parody". In that one, an Anderson look-alike will engage in,"a mass orgy sex scene with cult members" and "a threesome in an alley", according to the film's director Sam Hain.
